I skipped my workout this morning...again...because I'm still feeling funky. Im feeling much better this morning though, so I'm hoping to make this my rest day and get my training in starting tomorrow!
Today I just plan to catch up on various chores so I can start fresh with everything tomorrow. I always am able to focus better when my house isn't a disaster. ;)

I thought this thread starter was perfect for me...my mental state has a huge impact on my workouts! I've gotten better at getting myself out there even when I don't feel like it, and it has a huge impact on my mental state as well. It goes both ways.

I hope everyone has a great start to their week!

Amen to the thread starter. That's so true! I'd argue that applies to both fitness and nutrition.

Glad you're starting to feel better Val! Hopefully by tomorrow you're back to 100%. I spent some time yesterday picking up the house and when I got up this morning I was so happy to come downstairs into a clean kitchen & livingroom. I have a bad tendency to let clutter build up (seriously I have piles of stuff everywhere) but my day just feels easier when my ducks are in a row.

I might try to run outside today. It's supposed to be 44F & sunny when I get back into town tonight, which is in my happy range for running weather, and with the time change it will be light enough to run outside (I don't like running while the sun is setting where it's hard for motorists to see me). I have Jason at 6:00 so I'll drive to the gym and then run from there so I know exactly how much time I have and don't have to worry about traffic, etc.

Totally agree with the threadstarter. And it definitely works both ways, I missed Fri, Sat, Sun and I really needed my fix! On the topic of housework and clutter, my house is 100% better after only a week of my husband being gone. I can get so much done when he's gone, but get nothing done when he's here. Unfortunately the whole place will be destroyed mere hours after he returns. Sigh.

Laura, I see what you mean about the walking breaks. Hopefully he'll take it into consideration.

Today I ran a really great 6miles, down to the beach and back. It was gray skies like a possible storm, but I knew it wouldn't storm as soon as I saw the sea was as a calm as a lake. I started out with some knee and calf problems, but they both seemed to get better as I got farther into the run. I kept it nice and slow. Felt great.

    Have a good one y'all!

I felt very sluggish and had no energy today, and skipping my workout was so tempting! I ended up doing 35 minutes of step aerobics.
