    Just a quick check in!

Starting to feel better. Normally have sprints this morning, but just going to get out there and do a mellow jog/walk. I don't want to push myself to the point of getting worse. :)

I'm mostly caught up on chores! Today I'm going to my bible study in the morning, and getting some stuff done at church in the afternoon...and headed out shopping this evening.

    Have a great day everyone!

Glad you're feeling better Val! And very smart to ease back in after being sick.

It was even warmer than expected yesterday, 55F according to my car, so my run outside was perfect. I also realized early on in the run that it's been a very long time since I've run up a hill (I like hills). Plan was walk 5 minutes, run 30, walk 5, but when I got to the 35 minute mark I finished running to the end of the block, then walked the rest of the way back to the gym, so probably 31 minutes running & 9 minutes walking. My pace was quite a bit faster than I expected it to be - I would have been happy with that as a running only pace, much less with my walking time in there. Got back to the gym with just enough time to change into dry shoes (snow is melting so there were puddles everywhere) and pack my headphones away before my session with Jason. Did a mix of shoulders, legs & core with him.

It's my great-nephew's 4th birthday today so party for him after work, then I'll head to the gym for some cardio (either elliptical or bike or maybe some of both).

Hello DWPers! If you're friends with me you know that I've been struggling with binge eating. And gaining weight :( . My trainer recommended a book for me (it's been sitting around gathering dust until yesterday) and I started doing some of the exercises. It's called Recover!

Pre-logged day today and yesterday and that REALLY, REALLY helps. Went for glorious walk in the sunshine yesterday and slept "in" this morning. Tomorrow I have a dr's appt first thing but I'd like to hit the work gym tomorrow, even if just for 10m.

I pre-logged on Sunday and I found that really did help. Sundays are when I struggle. At each meal/snack time I checked to see what I was eating (didn't totally trust my memory), then ate that and just that.

After 2 weeks of religious tracking I also figured out how much I'm eating on average per meal, used that data to come up with a per-meal calorie goal (totaling my 1650 daily target), and then renamed my categories in MFP so breakfast is now "Breakfast - 300" because I have 300 calories budgeted for that meal, lunch is "Lunch -525" etc. It's a quick & easy reminder as I'm logging that I'm trying to stay within that target.

Hey all! Gonna hafta be quick, as its late and I'm exhausted.

Ran 7mi slow and easy today, sorta like yesterday with some knee problems early (I think this is from some deep squats and stretching I did 2 days ago) but got better. Calves were tighter today :-(, but I stretched as well as I could. Been busy with some home projects and just generally busy with kids and chores--but a very happy and satisfying kind of busy. FWIW, I have no eating problems these days, actually forgetting to eat the whole day (bad, I know). I think just staying very active and happy-busy, but not pushing too hard, has done the trick. Prbly run again tomorrow, as there's rain forecast for Thu :-(

    Later pals!

Hi, I am still around was busy working and had Bookclub last night.

Almost over sinus infection but my energy hasn't come back yet so waiting a few more days to do exercise and spent today doing errands and housework after going to dr appt. I thanked her big time for faxing prescription during my trip so I didn't have to go to emergency room.

Last day of sun for a bit we have a wave of rain for the next few days coming in. Was nice while it lasted.

Can't wait to start hiking again. My doctor today told me after we talked about my selling house and moving and stress, she wants me to do yoga, so I guess that's my next thing to try. I have gone before but I always tend to try too hard and end up hurting. She made me promise to do easy stuff even if the others were doing handstands...

Glad you are better Val it's so great to feel almost normal again!
