I know I shouldn't be concerned with my speed but it's really annoying to me. I want to be faster. I've had to slow down in order to be able to complete the jogging intervals without having to do additional walk breaks. Just being impatient I guess. Is it just me or do others have this issue too?

My pace got faster after I finished c25k, AND 5 to 10k, AND ran consistently for a while (maybe 2 or 3 times a week for a year?!) I didn't really notice that I was getting faster, it just kind of happened.
Don't worry about pace now. With more running, speed will come!0 -
Agree with Ceci, it'll happen gradually with repetition0

I agree with Ceci and Rob. Speed will come with time on your feet. For now, you're job is to finish each C25K session and go slow.
I had to laugh. I wasn't impatient about speed until after completing C25K.....before that I was too busy just trying to finish each training day. You're already a step ahead of where I was. You're going to do great. Don't worry about it right now.

Thanks for the replies! I'm going to keep going at the pace I'm and finish out the program.0
