Great threadstarter! Way to go losing a pound April!

Marla, I feel your pain. DH canNOT be happy until he passes his bad mood to someone else (usu me) and then looks like, "what?" Unfortunately it really does feel like the only cure for a maddening husband is chocolate. Btdt.

Laura, have a great 11mi today!

Well, perhaps the good news for everyone is we keep getting closer and closer to warmer, sunnier days of Spring!
Today I let son "babysit" while I quickly did some grocery shopping. And we have a kid bday party to attend tomorrow. But unfortunately for this weekend, no actual babysitter=rest days. Son wanted to go running today and I had to point out that it's not possible because of lil girl (well I could watch her while he runs, but I know from experience that the park is way too busy on the weekends and it becomes dangerous for runners and in my son's case he might present a danger to runners since he is sorta all over the place. I hate the thought of someone training for a race falling because of so many kids at the park. I once saw an older man fall over a boy on a bike on the running path.) When DH returns I've told son to wake me early on Sat and we can run a 5k I've mapped through the city center that can only be done in the early morning before car and pedestrian traffic and before the Athens flea market opens in Plaka. It's nice, around the Acropolis, thru plaka, past parliament, the national gardens, presidential palace, temple of Olympic Zeus, Hadrian's gate. DH returns Monday. It's been a great couple of weeks for us here though.

    Have a good one everybody!

Marla - my hubby does the same thing...gets angry and then tries to pretend like nothing happened. He will then go out of his way to be nice to me...but never actually says sorry. I wonder if that's a guy thing.

Sherry - I'm morning the end of winter. :). I live in Phoenix so the spring and summer starts to get roasty toasty!

I've been doing well in calories. Yesterday is said I was over..but I didn't wear my fitbit for most of the day so I'm pretty sure I was close to on target. We find out by around Tuesday how my hubby did on his interview. He's a cop, and right now works the streets. He also works Friday through Monday in the evening...and between that and all our weekday activities we don't really have any nights off together at all. This new position is a training position at the academy. He would be off the streets and have a quasi-normal schedule. We also find out about littlest one's evaluation on Wednesday. I'll be glad to know if he's just obstinate of if there is something else going on that is making him so difficult. Today is oldest child's musical. She has rehearsal all morning. Hubby is going to drop her off so I don't have to miss my Pilafes class. I was going to run this morning, but I had walked over 7,000 steps In a few hours last night working our school's carnival and my legs were exhausted. I figured it would be better to give them a chance to recover. Also, hubby managed to get off earlier last night...and it was our 11th anniversary last night. I wanted to stay up with him and actually get to spend some time with him on our anniversary. That seemed more importantL. :) We are planning a nice hike this morning with the other two kids though, and I'm looking forward to that! We had a ton of rain here and the desert is blooming in amazing colors right now!

    Have a great weekend!

Thanks, nice to know I am not nuts!!

Rainy day here and have a bunch of housework for exercise today. I have new DVD nia dance might do that.

Hubby and I made agreement last night to try and get along better during this time...I am not real hopeful he will keep his end up. He likes to stir me up then sit back and watch me spin...

I'm not married, so I can't weigh in on whether that's normal, but it's certainly annoying! Hope things do settle down Marla.

Happy anniversary Val! Hoping for good results for you both for the eval & your husband's job.

Sherry running a route like that must be amazing - totally worth getting up early for. Glad things are going so smoothly while your husband is away. That isn't always the case!

I waited until afternoon to run, and the weather was beautiful. It got warmer than anticipated (55F, which is above average for NE MN in March) and there was a bit of a wind. Today's assignment was walk 1/4 mile, run 2, walk 1/4, run 3, walk 1/4, run 2, walk 1/4, then 36 minutes (= to three 12-minute miles) on the AMT. Last week I ran a total of 6.5 miles but only in 1.5 mile increments, with half mile walking breaks. I had asked Jason to reduce my walk breaks to a quarter mile, and that felt better. It definitely challenged me! Even though I only ran a half mile more than last week it was in longer increments. I drove to the gym, ran two 4 mile loops (so if I had issues with my foot I didn't find myself 4 miles away from home), then went into the gym to get in my time on the elliptical (which today was 3.2 miles) & stretch/foam roll. My 8 miles were at a 13:40 average pace, which is awfully slow even with a mile of walking, but that's okay. I'm just not used to running with wind and hills and waiting for cars to pass to cross streets, etc.

Laura, you're killing it with the marathon training. Glad you're minding your foot. And I agree, it's so nice to be outside!

Marla, it's like they get amnesia when they're over their bad moods ;)

Valma, fingers crossed for your hubs new gig, it seems like it's been rough having such a packed schedule with such little time together. And you'll learn a lot from the little one's evaluation plus you can ask your zillions of questions. Happy 11th anniversary!

Sherry, I am so seething with jealousy that I can hardly type. Jog by the Acropolis? Ancient ruins? My neighborhood is more of the couches on porches type. Yes, I could drive somewhere to have a lovely view when walking but then I'd only have time for a tiny walk.

Had crazy intense trainer workout yesterday and am sore today but more am afraid of tomorrow's DOMS. Ate over calories again but did not binge. Did some workbook stuff this am.
