Laura - the laser hair removal idea is intriguing. I also use a razor with lots of lotiony stuff all around it so I don't need cream. I rarely shave, even though in Phoenix I wear shorts or capris year round. My hair isn't usually too dark...I think it helps having sun year round that keeps it bleached blonder helps.

Sherry - I'm glad you found your phone! That's. terrible feeling when you realize you've lost something so important!

Marla - I had been doing the same thing with my old clothes and came to the same conclusion. Part of it was realizing that having three kids changes your body in ways that has nothing to do with weight gain. They would probably never fit right again.

Yesterday was a bad, bad day for me food-wise. I had been so focused on organizing everything I hadn't paid attention to groceries and we pretty much ran out of everything. So I ate junk for lunch and pizza for dinner. But I logged it all honestly and I'm going shopping today. I'm not letting it get me down too much...as the last four day I was well under my goal for calories, so going over one day won't kill me. But today is a new day!

Today I'm doing some sprints this morning and weight lifting this evening. I'm also going grocery shopping and heading to church to get some things done there. I'm still not getting the sleep I should get. I'm getting to bed on time, but having problems falling asleep. But I've also realized that part of my problem is the temperature increase. In Phoenix is suddenly went up to the high 80s and low 90s. So instead of it being cool at night, I've been going to bed warm. I think that has made it harder for my body to wind down and I just need to be patient while my body adjusts.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

I was in the sauna at the gym after my swim a couple weeks ago and there were a few ladies in there talking about the Japense art of decluttering book. One was just starting it, one was most of the way through, and one had already finished the process.

Got my first running group tonight. Kind of nervous about it.

marla, I have purged many, many sizes of clothing, but I do have one wrap dress that I keep. If I ever make it back to that dress--well, that's truly like "Ultimate Goal", beyond my wildest dreams goal. ;-)

val, I think we are twins this week. DH came home from his trip to the emptiest fridge! I assured him that I had actually been shopping during the 2 weeks he was gone (lol) and there was stuff in the freezer, but I think he was wanting more of a "sure thing", so we ordered. So between that and the burger I had instead of running yesterday...mmmyeah, my calories were over.

Laura, good luck with the running group! I'd be too shy because I'm so slow, but when I have run with the man at the park (son ran with him today) it's been GREAT! No matter how fast or hard it is, as long as you can still talk and carry a convo, it feels actually EASY. It's all about distraction. Of course he doesn't speak English and I don't speak much Greek, so it's light convo, but the nuggets of wisdom you can get from others at a real running group will be awesome!! How exciting!!!!

So today son wanted to run since my phone emergency had cut him out of running yesterday. So he ran at the park for the first part of the tutor time and I did a little shopping for their week's afternoon snacks (to keep at the tutor). That meant I got off to a late start after dropping him back at the tutor. But I needed to get to the beach today so I went for it. Of course I pushed a little too hard and still ran out of time and had to catch the tram to make it back in time, so I didn't get as many miles as I could've if I'd stayed closer. But the sea air felt good. As of yesterday, lil girl and I have been getting a cold or something (me: sore throat and sniffles), so I really did need the sea air. He will probably run tomorrow too (gonna try to make Mon & Wed his run days, since his class schedule is easier those days, plus maybe Sat w/me), but tomorrow maybe I'll run at the park too, so I don't miss too many miles. Yeah, so as if juggling my workouts, lil girl, school pick-up and the tutor, and leaving time for DH's workouts isn't enough...I now have to plan for son's workouts. And from next month he'll be back at taekwon-do at night and I'll for sure be back at the gym a few times per week. Geez! Wish me luck!

haha, no daily slackers group! :p I used to log-in just to report that I'd been a slug all day and barely got off the couch, but the accountability, although it stings sometimes, did it's work on me and I got it turned around...until I slacked again and so on and so forth. It's a cycle. As they say, the secret to success: fall down 7 times, get up 8. You'll be kicking butt again in no time!

I can be the first member! :)

Between work and jury duty, I haven't had time to get here, but it's not like there were any workouts to report anyway.

Wednesday's workout (first one in a few days):
25 minutes Jane Fonda walking workout on YouTube
