Tracking a binge

Hi all! I've been using myfitnesspal for a few years. First as a tool, then as an obsession and now it's just habit. Like many of us, I started off restricting and bingeing, but now I just binge all the time.
So-my question is do you guys track your binges and why? (Or even just your overeating). At this point I am consistently eating over 3000 calories. I am not having as many random 5-10000 calorie days-but they do still happen occasionally. I've kind of just given up. I tried eating healthy, I tried having no treats in the house, I tried moderation. I just can't seem to get past this. I almost feel that tracking is pointless bc it's not HELPING my eating. I'm well aware of portions, nutrition and WHAT to do I just can't seem to execute.
Anyway. I rambled a bit

I dont log everything I eat during a binge, but I have done the quick add calories options, and I created a food called binge and put that in my diary. I put a red dot on calendar which tells me my binge days too.0
