Has anything caused a complete stop in your food issues?

My 5 year relationship ended on Monday and Its like all my food issues evaporated. That voice in my head just shut up all of a sudden. Has anyone experienced anything like this following a traumatic or maybe exciting event? Like gone on a holiday or something and had no trouble? Does bingeing come back once you "get over" whatever happened?

Be on guard, as it will try to rear its head. That has happened to me before and I got cocky. I began to believe I could eat certain foods in moderation when in fact, I was just on a slippery slope. Even now, after 10 weeks and 21 pounds lost, no real cravings or tendency towards emotional eating, I am on guard all the time. Be ready for it.

If only. In fact, sometimes when I'm not struggling, I start to think about the fact I'm doing well and then that makes me revert to old habits. But I hope that doesn't happen to you.
