    ^aint that the truth!!

Have a nice rest day and restart.

I'm oscillating between feeling better and feeling worse, as is lil girl and DH. Son seems fine, thank goodness. It's raining here anyway, so that makes it easier. We only get so many rain days per year, at least this is one that's on a sick day, which means more sunny running days on my healthy time. (Isn't optimism wonderful! Lol!)

    Have a great Sunday peeps!

Well, more frustrations as I overworked my back and it got made at me. I didn't throw it out completely...but it was definitely not cooperating so no long run or bike. I get frustrated because it has been several weeks since I've had a long bike or run because of technical or health issues that crop up. I just remind myself that I'm not a professional and try to move on.
Made about 25-30 dollars at our garage sale. Not as much as I hoped...but better than nothing. I'm taking the rest to goodwill today so I can reclaim my house and move on from the de cluttering mode I've been in.
I finally decided that with the kids I won't be so extreme with them about the consequence for eating as to give them only bread and water (lol). But they need to start eating what I make...so no more cheat meals. Where I make them Mac and cheese, or other meals full of crap that they like because there is nothing of nutritional value in them. For the next few weeks we will just be eating what I make. Hopefully by not having the other meals to fall back on they'll start to eat better. I'm not opposed to those fun meals on principle...but I think they save up their appetite for those meals and it prevents them from being motivated to eat regular ones.
I am glad to hear I'm not the only one who loses it with her kids on occasion. I think my weird and depressive mood finally got through to my hubby. I'm not usually a complete defeatist and Sl to be hit with that made him realize how alone I feel in running the house and raising the kids and that needs to change. We haven't had any deep conversation about it except for him to say that it upsets him to realize I feel so lonely. Hopefully things will improve from here.
back is already feeling a little better so hopefully I can start fresh tomorrow with my training and get a long bike ride in, but today I'm skipping my bike and weight lifting. Definitely decreasing the weight of my squats as it felt a little too heavy and I think that caused the initial problem. It was already weakened by that so when the toddler I watched flung himself backward, my back couldn't handle the extra strain.
    Have a great Sunday everyone!

Val, that's a great plan re:the kids and meals. I think kids at that age have short memories and they'll forget all about those other things in no time. We haven't made mac n cheese (which we have to make homemade b/c it's not sold here) in about two years and they've totally forgotten it. You might want to cook a little extra of the most successful meals for freezing--that could be your new fallback meals, when tired or short on time, just thaw-heat so you aren't tempted to reach for the Mac n cheese when having a bad day. Hope your back gets better soon.

I didn't want to work out today (my first full day off in a long time, and I wanted to be lazy!) But I ended up doing 13 minutes of Bob Harper's leg workout, then about 23 minutes of indoor working videos from YouTube.
