After three HORRIBLE days, I'm not sure I even want to show my face in here, but hope you all can report much better success.

LOL Marilyn, are those ashes you are throwing on yourself? You'll get back on track, I have no doubt.
As for me, I have exercised at or above my goal of 40 minutes for 6 out of the past 7 days, so I am happy with that. I had gained a little from having to lay low from exercise the previous week, and I am still a half pound above where I was before I broke my toe. (The toe is steadily improving, thanks everyone for asking!)
My average for the week was 50 minutes a day, so I am also happy with that! And over the weekend I had to eat out TWICE as well as control myself around someone else's tempting home-cooked meals, and I did extremely well - so another point of success. (Needless to say I packed and took with me a lot of my usual safe foods so I could stay on program.)

Good Morning - Day to each of you!!
In case I have not mentioned this before: I am so glad to back among all of my MFP friends, which means YOU!! Thank you so much for all of the support!
Here are my stats for this week:
Weigh on Tuesdays ~~~~~ 3/24
Starting weight 3/3 ~~~~~ 232
Current Weight ~~~~~~~~~ 224.6
Weekly loss ~~~~~~~~~~~~ -0.8
Eat 100% Paleo plan ~~~~~ 7/7 but ate too much fruit
I will log daily ~~~~~~~~~~ yes
I will start walking again. ~~ only 1 day
Monthly loss ~~~~~~~~~~~ 7.4
I love fruit and ate too much on a couple of days so did not have as great of a loss this week. But, hey, a loss is a loss!!
I am going to eat berries rather than so many apples & oranges. I love oranges and can easily eat 3 a day.
I have a Dr. appointment today so will be needing to leave this morning.
I hope each of you have a tremendous Tuesday!

Such great success, Kathy, considering your toe owie! And YOU, Reba- 7.4 pound loss so far this month? WELL DONE!! My week, not as good......
- Faithfully logging - 5 days out of 7, including one day's admission of totally screwing up.
- Walking a mixed report. In the last week, I had two personal best days - one over 25,000 and one over 30,000 steps. But then life interfered, and I had two days where it was a struggle to get over 10,000.
- Night time munchies are killing me, along with daytime boredom or tired eating. Maybe now that the rain is gone I can do better.
- Not doing do well on my goal of 4 pound monthly loss. But I haven't gained 4 pounds either.....
Happy happy joy joy!

I will log everything eaten every day!!!
==>Met goal; however, did some "quick add calories." And while net calories consumed was under goal all week, had 4-days of carbs being over.
I will bike instead of drive
==>Biked/walked/etc. 5 out of last 7 days and maintained current weight.
I will "step back from the computer" and spend more time just moving!!
==>Reduced computer time as had a very full week of Women's Ministry obligations that did involve a lot of moving.

My challenge to myself:
To cut down on screen facing time by walking an average of 12K daily and attending at least 3 rec center classes per week.
I continue to find alternatives to computer time and TV. I am doing a heap of steps by dancing to music from a number of sources. Internet radio, my Kindle Prime music, old CDs I found while cleaning up in the basement. How could I have forgotten about those????
I am getting a few extra steps in daily, after meeting my 12K goal. But I wonder how you ladies doing 20-30K are doing that.
I am doing Silver Sneakers Classic 2x a week. Body Flex 2x a week
Silver Sneakers Yoga 3 days a week. So hitting at least 7 classes each week for the month.
In addition I am back to using my Zumba dvds and a Jane Fonda dvd for Seniors. Doing each of those twice a week, so that is a lot of screen hours converted to the "Move it, move it, move it" project .

So far, I have stayed the same weight as last week, but I often drop on Wed. or Thursday, so will post in here if that changes, it wasn't part of my goals, but I'd like for it to drop anyway.0 -
Big congrats to all. Everyone is sticking to their goals! That's encouraging, as persistence and logging are two of the seventeen cornerstones to achieving and maintaining good health.
I've met my 300 minutes of toning exercises in addition to walking 10000 steps a day. I lost two pounds as a result, which was an added bonus. The scale showed a greater loss, but I knew it might be due to being underhydrated Sunday morning when I weigh in, so I rounded up.

Marilyn, 3 days isn't even a half week. And you're back on track, I bet. Big round of applause!0

My challenge was to have lunch, or at least an afternoon snack, and I managed to do that most days. I'm working on it. Having a cranky, down few days didn't help any.0

Let's create our own list, Kathy! ;-) Of course the 17 was a silly number pulled out of the air.
How about Giving Encouragement so we also look to how well we are doing and can applaud our own selves?0 -
Sharon, great idea. So far we have:
1. Persistence in following our food and exercise plans.
2. Faithfully logging achievement in same.
3. Giving encouragement both to ourselves and to others.
To which I would add:
4. Getting enough sleep.
5. Keeping stress as low as possible.
All entries are welcome!

6. Forgiving ourselves & accepting imperfections so we can continue to move forward
p.s. maybe we should start a new post with this to get non-challenge folks to participate?0 -
Yeah, Marilyn, here we go over to the general board0

So today is the last day of March... so I am going to look at the big picture. Since March first I have released just 2.5 pounds --- because I was on a plateau, then gained a little, lost it again and now show an actual loss.
Out of the whole month I met or exceeded my goal 22 out of 30 days which while not perfect, produced a good habit that I intend to continue! Beginning with today of course, the last day of March : D
Thanks, everyone, for your encouragement along the way! ~ Kathy0 -
I think I succumbed to my own, personal March Madness (which had absolutely nothing to do with basketball). I really need April. I gained -- I think 5 pounds up from my low of 147 which is about where I started, so I have now lost ground. So I'm up to 152!
Congrats to all of you who did what you said you were going to do and to the rest of you who tried! We just have to keep trying!
I don't see an April challenge yet, so I will begin a new thread to begin it. See you over there! Anyone following me?0 -
Charlie, Charlie. You got off water restriction. That made a huge difference. Kathy, you met your goal more than three weeks out of four. Yay!
I met my goals and kept to a generally nutritious diet. There were a few days when my belly acted up, but the following days I was able to drop what I call the :white diet: and get back to the veggies and fruits.
