Marla, this thread starter is for you. I just saw this meme last night and it went perfectly with your comment about wine & sugar.

I did not go to the gym before work to run as I had planned, so I'll have to go tonight. I have a million little excuses (I was awake at 3:00 and had finally fallen back to sleep, I had some random pain in my right foot, it was snowing, the cat was being extra snuggly), but ultimately I just didn't get out of bed. So tonight's Laura is going to be super pissed at this morning's Laura.

Sherry - Whoops! I'm usually so good about checking for other thread starters and that one somehow eluded me. Sorry! Bummer about TOM! All I can say is, now that I'm healed...Im really enjoying the benefits of having no uterus. :)

Marla - I totally get what you're saying! I usually have to have a few weeks of eating absolutely NO snack foods before I can finally trust myself to make reasonable choices. And that is without the stress you are going through!

Laura - Actually, I implemented a rule of no snack only dinner yesterday. They have snack around 4 and eat dinner around 5:30. I figured they could survive and extra hour without food. Also, no eating in the living room. It actually worked and they ate their dinner! So hopefully this was the first of many sucesses! I'm also totally understanding the not getting up in the morning problem. I had a talk with hubby again about how he says he wants me to be training for these triathlons...but when I need to get to bed or go do my strength training he whines at me and makes it hard so I don't get the sleep I need or end up skipping workouts. I told him I'm getting a squirted bottle and I'm gong a squirt him every time he does that. ;). Hopefully tonight's Laura isn't too put out by morning Laura. We're all only human. :)

So today I'm going to try and get my run and strength training I was supposed to do yesterday. Hopefully I can also get some yard work done as well!

    Have a happy hump day!

Hey everybody! Everybody's doing so good either gettin' it done, or working the kinks out. Bravo!

Today is a holiday and I got some really good, solid sleep last night and, as a result, am feeling quite better today. Unfortunately it rained today. :-( The holiday parade got rained on, although I'm sure plenty of people still showed up for it. We, being sick, of course stayed home, but could see the helicopters and jets fly over from our windows. Feeling the way I do now (which is better, but not yet 100%), I will go ahead and pick back up running as soon as the weather permits. DH has been missing the gym and I'm sure he'll be back at it soon, as should I.

(yawn) Now I'm starting to feel the afternoon sleepies and might take a nap (sleep helped so much last night, why not!)

    Have a good one!

Thanks Laura as I read it I felt it was for me!

So far I am getting my normal after breakfast cravings for sugar and with so much to do feel stuck like I can't move...

Decided to do just one small thing at a time. Will check in later about food, maybe knowing that will help.

Keep resting Sherry, you'll be normal soon. My younger daughter gets sick a lot because of her kids, as they grow it hapens less and less. :)

Made it so far no sugar stuff and wine...but I had strong cravings after breakfast and lunch. It's like eating made it worse, hard to stop, but I did.
