had an awesome run on the treadmill 22 minutes straight at 4.2 (which is awesome for me) then as I'm walking out of the gym some guys were right behind me and one screamed "that ***'s grande!!" Made me feel so gross. Why do some guys have to be so crude?

Some people are a$$hats, it's as simple as that, men and women.
I know it's easier to say than do, but ignore the twits and enjoy the glory of your run!

This exactly. Don't let them ruin your great run. You did great today and should feel awesome about it. Wonderful run!

Both are right, don't fester on it, it's happened you can't control the idiots in the world, you can only control you. Feel proud in what you did, focus on that. The other alternative was to challenge them at the time, I know easier said than done. Most people when challenged in that sort of environment will back down and apologise. It certainly creates a scene for the gym management team to deal with, no-one wants members arguing in the entrance. If you are not confident though, put it behind you, carry on the good work and soon they won't be making those comments about you, they will still be idiots though trying to destroy other peoples day.

That's freaking rude. Just ignore them. When people make fun of others, it's their own insecurities that are the problem. I always worry that people judge me when I'm on the treadmill but really, I try not to care. At least you are there doing awesome stuff.

I've had a lot of rude/perverted comments while running or walking, but I just ignore them and think, "wow! Their mom must be so proud!" Just ignore them. You're doing GREAT!
