So I wouldn't normally write in like this but I need to vent about my experience and stupidity over the last month. I started on January 15th with LCHF and within a week or so transitioned nicely. Then I decided to do an experiment and try the high fiber approach just to compare how I felt to LCHF. Soooo it was not great at all I felt like i was shaky and starving. Now I'm no genius but i knew I was in a bad place. This week I said to myself, "self you need to go back to LCHF". So I started back this week but still have had a piece of fruit a day. That one insignificant piece of fruit has not been good. I am still craving carbs big time so for the rest of the day and from here forward I am a die hard LCHF person. I guess my point is what was I thinking?!? I also feel good about outing myself to you all. It can only get better from here. Cheers!

I actually think that your experiment was a great one to try. Now you are more aware of how certian foods affect you. Not every diet is for every person, and it sometimes takes trying things like this to find out what works best specifically for you. I do not think you should feel bad at all for trying something!! Would have felt bad if you tried and it ended up being the best thing for your body, probably not, so because you found that the high fiber things doesnt work, and you know that LCHF does work for you. Great job on learning to recognize yourself!!!0

Awesome! As panda said, all you did was try an experiment, which is 100% the sane thing to do (unless it's throwing yourself off a cliff to see if you can fly
) And it's helped you to come back to LCHF with full commitment. Better still, you are fully aware that LCHF is the WOL where you feel great. That's a definite win

Now you've proven to yourself that carbs are like poison to your body, and who wants to ingest poison! Being convinced of that will make all the difference in wanting to stick with LCHF. Good job.0
