Goal is workout 6 days a week in some form

What do you guys do when yesterdays workout has you so sore, you may be unable to perform today? Do you rest 1 day? Or push through? I don't want to damage any muscles.
I am an avid runner, but had knee surgery 5 weeks ago, so I am doing a lot of new workout routines to build muscle,,

    Hi! I've had knee surgery too and when I'm sore, I enjoy doing the stationary bicycle at the gym or the elliptical. If I'm really sore I will just stretch and walk on the treadmill for 30-min or so on a high elevation just to get something in, better than the couch. Good luck getting your knee strength back up, it's hard but you can do it! I've had 2 meniscus repair surgeries and 1 ACL replacement.
