help with macros

so I just started a low carb lifestyle a few days ago. I originally decided to do this after seeing a lot of inspiring people doing keto. I started by cutting out bread, pasta, rice, grains, etc. to my surprise I was still around 100g of carbs ! I know most people doing keto aim for 30g or so, but with the bananas and vegetables I was eating that seemed to spike my carb level. obviously I am wayyy under what I had been previously (I'm guessing my carb level used to be well over 300g) I'm just not sure if a starting goal of 95g is even going to make any difference. do I need to aim lower ? I lost an inch in my wait already but I'm contributing that to water weight probably. anywho, any advice would help, also if any of you would like to add me as a friend on here that would be helpful too

Everybody is different. I've tried to do low carb before, with around 100g of carbs, and it didn't really help me much because I lack portion-control and that little voice that tells your mouth to stay shut, so I never kept to it for long. I also didn't up my fats, so I was still wanting more food. Now, I'm doing pretty low (under 20g per day) and my digestive issues and joint pain are fading rapidly and my energy is growing. Plus I'm down 10 pounds.0

Depends on your hunger signals. Keto is better if you're still feeling hungry at your current carb intake. For me, 100g carbs works and is easy to maintain long term.0

My endocrinologist had me start around that same level and told me to lower my carbs and up my fats until the cravings stopped. That took me to between 35-50 grams of carbs daily, usually averaging the lower number. However, I can tell you that bananas are pretty much one of the most sugary fruits. If you stick with berries and stone fruits (peaches, plums, etc.), and pair any fruits/veggies with a fat when you eat them (whipped cream without sugar, cream cheese, or cheese/butter for veggies), your body will process them slightly differently. I am learning to prefer the leafy/green veggies!0
