How often do you eat?

It is often said to eat 4-5 small meals a day to keep you metabolism up and prevent over eating. Does anyone else do this?
I usually do but find myself watching the clock - when can I eat again - and I feel like I am obsessing.

The 2 books I have recently read on binge eating suggest 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks. Both emphasize breakfast.0

Six times a day, most days: breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack.0

Breakfast, a snack after (mid morning) lunch, a snack after (late afternoon) and dinner. Sometimes a little something after dinner (a yogurt, Fiber One bar/brownie 'treat', etc)
