I'm dealing with a new challenge for me. I am typically fairly active, practicing martial arts and walking about 5-7 hours per week. I hurt my knee pretty badly and I imagine I will have to stop all of that for a few weeks while I heal. I am also in a lot of pain. My brain wants to eat the pain and boredom away. How do I stay motivated to maintain my weight and my good eating habits in this situation? That means eating less than normal just to maintain, because my activity level plummeted. I'm also less able to prepare healthy foods and my husband is already increasing his workload with the kids and household chores due to my injury. Help!
