Cream & Calories

Completely not sure if this is related or not, but when I quit putting 1/4-1/2 cup heavy cream in my coffee in the morning, I also quit being hungry for dinner. I'm using about 3 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp MCT oil in my coffee right now. I haven't been eating much cheese either, so the butter and any butter I use for cooking is pretty much all the dairy that I get. I'm now feeling stuffed at around 1100 or 1200 calories per day, which probably isn't enough, but I'm trying to make sure I eat dinner.
Does anyone have this reaction to dairy, where it makes you hungrier instead of filling you up?

That's interesting. No other changes? I find that adding cream to my coffee helps me go a longer amount of time in the morning before I feel hungry... but I'm only using about a tablespoon per mug of coffee at home (and then black if I drink more at work, because I don't feel like bringing a carton of cream to the office and they use that fake powdered crap here).0

I have noticed that the more relaxed I am about my carb intake the hungrier I am, but there's a sweet spot. If I don't eat any carbs, I have a harder time reaching satiety, but if I eat too many carbs, I also have a harder time reaching satiety. My sweet spot is between 15 and 30, with the days I feel the best being around 20-25.0

Yep. Dairy tends to feed my appetite, not sate it. Not at the same time I eat it, but over the course of a day. Those days high in dairy, are higher than normal in calories (even when you take the dairy calories out). So, I don't eat it very often.0

I have about a tablespoon in a mug of coffee. It keeps me full and I'm finding my calories are lower overall. Every body is different. It's great to experiment and see what works for yourself.0
