Yesterday was my first appointment with the bariatric program. It was incredible! I was so sure that my insurance would require a 3-6 month program; but if I have all the tests and exams completed and have lost 5% of my starting weight, I meet with the surgeon and can schedule the surgery!
I am so excited! I just have to talk with my employers and hopefully work out getting the time off for the tests.
I also have to figure out transpo for my endoscopy. My mom (who's also getting the surgery) has hers on the same day. I figured that would be better than taking 2 days off work. But I may end up doing that.
I'll figure it out. Nothing will stop me from doing this!!
