Sherry - That sounds awesome! My longest run this year is only a little over 5 miles, so breaks, aside...I think you did fantastic!

Yesterday was a good/bad day. As I was almost all alone, I was relaxing and started to just eat stuff I shouldn't. Cake and ice cream, in the middle of the day. But then pulled it together and finished the day well. So not the greatest choices, but very happy I didn't just decide the day was a loss and keep eating junk!

Today our church is fasting and praying for good Friday. I'm still drinking juices and such to help, but no food today as I take time today to really ponder what this time of year means. I haven't fasted since my early twenties, so not sure how well I'll do! It's supposed to be midnight to midnight. But having kids around makes it harder because obviously they will still be eating. So unlike the last time I did this, where I could just keep away from food, I'll have all the smells and sights hitting me in the face. I may just do the day, and then break the fast tonight for dinner. We'll see.

The kids and hubby come back this afternoon, and the small one I watch should be picked up late this morning. Hoping to have a few hours of solitude at least!

    Happy Good Friday everyone!

    ^love this!

Today was perfect weather, DH picked up the kids from tutor, and I did a long, slow 9 miles. Since DH has appt in afternoon tomorrow, I figured I'd be better off running as much as I can today and hit the gym tomorrow, since the gym doesn't take very long. Today was last day of son's school for two week Easter break, but they will continue half-weeks at tutor. Anyway, I should be able to get workouts in, after DH gets off work each day. Also hoping for nice quiet peaceful run on Easter, but we'll see.

    Have an awesome Friday y'all!!

    Happy Friday!

So this morning I had my last ever session with my trainer. Bittersweet, I've been through a lot with her and she's been very motivational. She's the butt-kickery type, not the cheerleader type at all. I don't want to get derailed so I have an appointment later this month to meet another trainer.

I'm switching from a low-cal to a low-carb diet and it's going okay so far.

val, I think we crossed wires posting. Just saw yours. Hope your fast and time of reflection goes well.

April, sorry you're losing your trainer. Hope you find another good one. Good luck with the eating style change. :)

Hubby and I went for a nice short hike with view over our area very pretty and lots of wild flowers that looked like large yellow daisies, did that yesterday.

We are sleeping at friends now across town because orchard fans are on until weather gets warmer at night. OMG it's like trying to sleep on airline runway.

So haven't slept much for 2 nights, first night fans last night strange place. Sure I will sleep tonight as exhausted. My friend is in LA until May so we have house to ourselves.

So no energy to do anything today.
