Well snuck a few jelly beans and piece of chocolate bar late last night. I didn't think it's effect me. I immediately started feeling sick, shaky and warm with throat swelling. Then This morning woke up nausea's, went to work, got sick to my stomach and came home.

So now I'm getting worried that at some point I won't be able to eat anything. I used to eat these things daily but after eliminating them for a couple days, I can't eat them at all. Is this normal? How could I be fine before but now a week later can't tolerate it?

@Stbarber1 This could also be a corn sensitivity. Most of the products you've outlined in this whole post may also have high fructose corn syrup in them. I have a friend whose son is allergic to corn, and an adult friend who is, and they have to have an epi-pen or benedryl nearby.

It is very possible that you built up a tolerance and now are experiencing sensitivities because your tolerance is gone, to whichever item is the issue.

The easiest way I know to avoid questionable "extra" items aside from the obvious "don't eat anything you didn't make" kind of thing - is to pay the higher price for better quality items. Better quality items will have less fillers and more pure ingredients...

    No, there's another explanation.

Honestly, since I've lost almost 100 pounds, I have health issues surfacing that I never knew I had before. A friend likened it to driving my car around, beating it up, and splashing through the mud while I was gaining weight/staying unhealthy. Now that I've stopped all that nonsense, I have to wash all the mud off and see the damage I actually did, because if your add up all that damage slowly, your body adjusts as you go, so it minimizes the impact you actually feel. So when you start reducing your tolerances and gaining health, you can really FEEL all the horrible stuff. (When your problems are covered in the "mud" of life, you can't see it clearly.)

So essentially, you've likely always had a level of this problem, but you notice it more now because you aren't putting your body through as much daily hell, because you are losing those tolerance levels through your health gains, and because you are simply more aware of your body in general...

I wish you great luck in figuring this out... And remember that a swelling throat is a quite serious issue - because it only takes about 30 seconds to go from annoying to deadly. Please make sure you have children's chewable benedryl on hand if you don't have an epipen. Crunching them up then letting them rest under your tongue to quickly absorb LITERALLY SAVED MY FRIEND'S LIFE while we were out once. Usually, she can tolerate a certain amount of corn stuff without too much effect. She apparently reached her limit without realizing it due to hidden corn, and we were rushing to WM for kid's benedryl because she didn't have her epipen (we were out of town for the day in a city less than an hour from home, and she'd been doing so well for an extended period of time, she'd simply let it slip her mind.).

I don't know if the liquid works as similarly, but with the chewables, we calculated out the adult dosage amount, and she took it... Within less than 3 minutes, she started feeling better... Absolutely craziness. I'm so much more aware of this type of thing now....

They also make children's benadryl that dissolves in your mouth, no chewing required, the kids told me it was nasty.

While your stomach is so unhappy with you, you might want to pick up a probiotic. I LOVE Bigelow's probiotic lemon ginger tea. The taste is sort of weak, but it does the job. Probiotics help build up the enzymes in your gut that digest dairy and other foods.
I also recommend plain mint tea. Mint is awesome for unhappy stomachs.

Unless the problem is acid-related. Mint for some people can actually cause the stomach flap that keeps the bile and junk in your stomach to not closes properly and allow bile and acid back into the esophagus and sometimes all the way up. This can cause heavy discomfort and damage in some cases. My daughter has GERD, and she had to banish mint from her eating habits COMPLETELY during treatment, and this is why.
