If you're a runner you may wonder if this eating more, lifting heavy thing will work for you. Read how EM2WL vet Terri Anne - an avid runner and lifter made it not only work for her!!

So true. Just gotta fight through the fact you may not "feel" hungry, even right after a workout.

That's when it's best to use the brains not the stomach, and know eating for a strong workout in next day or two requires eating enough and now.

REally needed to read this just now as I'm so confused about mixing running with lifting....so much conflicting advice. This tells me that I can do it the way I want to do it, and what works/fits with my life. So I will run on running club days....and I will lift on days where I can fit it into my life...ok, so it might not be an ideal timetable but this story proves that sometimes you just have to do what works for you....thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing this! I am also a runner struggling with the balance. I'm working my way up to a reset. It's good to know that you can put on that much muscle without killing it with a ton of cardio ;) I too need to keep running...my sanity is worth it! lol

Thanks this is just what I needed too. I enjoy running , lifting and dancing and not prepared to give anything up. I suppose I will do it my way. Not figured out what that is though yet but I have more of a clue than I did last week so I will keep reading.

Thank you for posting this article. I am 7 weeks into lifting, 3 weeks into using the TDEE method and 6 weeks away from my taekwondo black belt grading exam. My weekly training regime has increased to include:
    Running 30 mins x1
    Taekwondo 90 mins x2
    Lifting x3 around 40 mins
This regime has increased because the exam is around 3-4 hours and all about endurance. I am so glad I found this group because I am seeing food as very tasty fuel for my sometimes gruelling workouts!
