Hello my friends. I hope all has been well with all of you. I feel so out of the loop and will have to go back and catch up on posts. I know Nora's wedding should be happening anytime now. And I see Karen's pic is of a most adorable baby....will have to get the scoop on that one. Last I heard Zac was getting ready for a play I believe. Like I said, I'll go back and catch up.
Life around here has been insanely busy. First was the wedding. I'm still working on going through all of the pictures and pulling out the better ones. When I'm done, I'll send you guys a link so you can go and check them out if you would like. Starting the beginning of March, I was picked to participate in a 3 week study. It was all day, 5 days a week. I had to be on the bus by 7:30 am and didn't get home till 5:45 pm. My body isn't used to all that and any idea I had about trying to go back to work has been blown out of the water, I was so exhausted every night when I got home, all I wanted to do was go to bed. I was a total vegetable every weekend. I didn't clean, do laundry, cook, or anything for 3 weeks. Needless to say starting April 1st I had a lot of catching up to do around this apartment. The money for the study was fantastic and honestly that's the only thing that got me there every day. With the money, we were able to get a lot of things for around the house that we have really been needing and I even got my new laptop.
The problem with the study was our breakfast, lunch and snacks was provided every day. We couldn't bring our own and for the most part we got stuff that wasn't really on my eating plan. The last three days we were all stuck in the same room all day trying to reach a conclusion. I had been able to avoid all of the little snacks up to that point but not then. Over the 3 weeks, I gained 10 pounds. I've done real good at not beating myself up about it. There's nothing at this point that I can do about it except deal with it. So, I've pulled my big girl panties up and have gotten back on program - logging my food, exercising when I can (at least getting my steps in), just getting back into the right frame of mind. Michael and I are going up to the Y one day this week to reactivate our memberships and then start working out together.
Well, it's about 12:30am so I better be getting to bed. It'll be 6:15 before I know it. Glad to be back and have missed all of you.
Dee

Oh, Dee, I'm so glad you found time to catch us up on your life. Sounds like you have been crazy busy and more than a little frustrated!
I can't wait to see the wedding pics--please do send a link when you can. About my baby pic--I had a baby!!! (Yeah, like one of those "I didn't know I was pregnant" shows on t.v.) Hahahahaaa! No, actually, that is my new great niece, Eliza. We have a very small family (to give you an idea--I only have one cousin, one niece, and one nephew), so when a new face arrives, it is VERY big news. Eliza is my brother's daughter's little one, and the closet I'll come to having grandchildren, so I am just loving her up like crazy.
About those ten pounds--hopefully half of them are water weight from eating high sodium. If you were stuck with snack foods, you know they're loaded with carbs and sodium. I wouldn't beat yourself up. Sounds like the money was great, it helped you and your family, and those pounds will just come off again before you know it. I hear what you're saying about going back to work, though. I really, really, really want to, and then I have a crappy Still's day when I just lie in bed shaking with a fever and think, "Yeah, right." Listen to your body, and don't forget there are lots of places between no work and full time work.
Welcome back again. I've missed you!
