Is it possible to be eating too much fat in a low carb diet?
I am new to the low carb diet and I have my diary set at a medium carb level so I can work to lower my carb.
But it says I am eating too much fat.
If I lower my carb percentage will be allowed more fat...
My diary is open if that helps. It is also midday Monday so I haven't logged everything I will eat today yet.
Also looking for some low carb friends so feel free to add me.
Thanks!

Depends on your weight goals.

Ignore MFPs advice; it's based on SAD principles.0 -
I can't access your profile. Are you in Denmark? Might have something to do with it.
Anyway, start with protein. At least .8g/kg of body weight, and more is better, especially if you're exercising.
Then decide how many grams of carbs you want.
Finally, fill out the rest of your calories with fat.
Unfortunately, MFP wants percentages, so you'll have to fiddle with their custom goals to get them to match the grams you want. If you correctly set your calorie goal, it should all work out even with the hoops they make you jump through.0 -
I found a comment somewhere that said you can turn off that annoying diet commentary, but I didn't mark it down. Maybe a search of the help file?0

I think it's in settings, diary settings.0

Yeah, ignore what it says, or keep them on and laugh at them. Set your diary goals to be in line with your actual goals, and it should minimize most of the scoldings.
It's not really possible to have too much fat on low carb unless you're getting so many calories in that you're gaining weight (in which case, you're eating too many calories, period), or your sacrificing protein for fat (carbs don't really matter for the most part, there is no general minimum requirement, but protein is required to maintain lean mass). Many of us have fat goals in the 80% range.0
