This is basically how I feel today.

Marla - glad you finally got some decent sleep! It's amazing what a difference a good night's sleep can make!

Sherry - spring break ...or really any break from school...is rough for us. We lose our routine and it makes it very hard to stay on track. So don't feel bad, you're in good company!

Laura - I do think it was this cold that brought it on so quick. About 11 years ago I flipped over the handlebars of my bike and fractured my skull. Ever since then, I've had a propensity for migraines. But having gotten on a more regular diet and training regimen has reduced them greatly. Usually, I feel them coming on and can at least prepare for them (or prepare my family). This one totally caught me by surprise! Usually, I get them when I suddenly reduce my calorie intake, allow myself to become dehydrated, or I'm overly stressed.

Still sick today, but still all in my head and not settling in my chest. I took some cold meds and got decent sleep, so I went for a short little jog this morning. I've also done some yard work. I'm heading to Costco next, but taking a break to sit for a bit before I head out. Tonight we have our bible study...and someone else is cooking so I don't have to deal with that at least! No more workouts today for me, but hopefully I'm doing better tomorrow because that's my more intensive training day. If not, I'll shorten the workouts and lighten the intensity.

    Have a great day everyone!

I just posted this threadstarter on my Facebook page last week! Love it.

Sorry you're still not feeling back to 100% Val. I tend to get more chest colds than head colds. Sounds like you're having a productive day anyway!

I have my running group tonight. My leg has been tight today so hopefully it cooperates. My chiro is the leader of the running group so if I have problems at least I can complain to him. LOL. I also called this morning & was able to get in for a massage on Friday after work. It's currently 68 in the town where I live (and will be running) so it should be a nice night for a run. I work 22 miles from home but it's only 50 here because we're by Lake Superior, and when the wind is coming off the lake it cools it off considerably.

Still coughing and hacking away here, but t.o.m. decided to join the party for a truly miserable morning. But we had plans already to borrow a car and meet friends at a mtn for a walk. It was nice for the kids and probably did me some good. Afterwards we were early to tutor so we hung out at the forest park til time. After drop off I went home and let DH pick up. Feeling really yucky, eating has been atrocious, and I Neeeeeeeeed to feel better so I can run and get back on track.......but I just feel weepy instead. :-(

    Hope Marla is sleeping.
Val, hope you're better soon and you get a nice WELL training season.
Laura, I really hope tha helps your leg, because it sounds really rough, eek.

    Oh yeah, like today's threadstarter!
