I have trained for a sprint, i think i have reached a point where i can knock it out, i am now training for a spartan super 8-9 miles... i really want to do a beast next year though and go for trifecta. I am curious if anyone in 30's has trained for and completed a beast? Looking to try some new training.

I'm with you on this one. I've signed up for a Spartan Beast in November but the only thing I'm really worried about is the distance. In all the mud runs I've done you get to wait in line for the obstacles so those aren't really an issue but 12 miles is still 12 miles. I'm just going to push the running but I am definitely open to ideas.

I have not conquered a beast yet but am planning on it next year. The team I run with has a wealth of wisdom, reviews, and training ideas as well as people of all different ability levels. From the people I know that have done Killington and the NJ Beast this past weekend, I have heard it more about sheer will and being prepared then the physical conditioning

There is a ton of knowledge and experience as well as some good gear reviews for thing you may need to conquer a beast.
