p90X and Paleo?

I'm thinking of starting a round of P90x to increase my lifting and just to get more fitness training in. I know its a pretty intense workout and may require more carbs to fuel the workouts. Anybody ever done P90x and Paleo before and had success? Can they co-exist?

not the answer you are looking for:
No I haven't done both. I have done the p90x workouts. They are awesome. My only fail is I simply cannot do a workout without accountability. I find I hit pause etc - or do put full effort into it.
that being said, I do crossfit 5x a week and do 3x heavy lifting sessions a week. I did not up my carb intake, am fairly pure paleo, don't track (although I am right now for a different self-experiment of n=1).
You have to be well keto adapted. One paleo nutritional trainer said, once you have a 6 pack, then add a sweet potato a day
On the "requires carbs to do the workout". I can't prove otherwise, but I haven't been sold on that. I routinely follow east-stop-eat and leangains philosophy in my workouts (like haven't had food in 18-20 hours pre workout. These are 30-40 minute bad *kitten* xfit workouts that are definitely on par with a p90x intensity. I think your body absolutely has to be adapted to it. I've done 2 hour workouts and felt a crash. Beyond 2 hours I would pre-fuel or get some fuel mid round - but it would remain paleo.0 -

Paleo =/= low carb. I mean, it can be, but doesn't have to be. I'm doing Paleo for Athletes (currently at 35% carbs, working my way up), but it's for endurance athletes.
That said, I've done P90X and it actually was not intense for me at all. Sticking with lower carbs would be fine.0 -
I have been doing the Tapout XT workouts. I know that's not the same, but I feel it is similar in intensity. So far, I have been doing fine with it and following a Paleo plan. To be honest, I think I am getting more out of the workout following this meal plan than I was without. Your hydration levels will play a big factor though, because you will sweat a LOT. Gotta replenish those fluids. If I haven't been drinking my water that day and then try to make up for it during the workout, it's not a fun time.
I'm sure you keep your body properly fuled, so you'll kick butt with the P90x workout.0 -

I've done both an found TapouT XT much more intense than P90X.0 -
I do p90x and enjoy it! In fact, I actually feel ****ty if I miss a day lool maybe I'm addicted who knows and I doubt you guys care but anyways, the key to p90x is just drink lots of water. I find on muscle days eatting a sweet potato or having higher carbs help and then cardio days I usually go lower carb. Usually I just eat what I feel like, some days it is just meat and fat and others I wanna veggies and fruit. Your body will guide you just make sure your not under eatting by alot. I find when I listen to my body I tend not to be hungry alot and some days would only make 1200 -_- which is too low for me lool goodluck0
