After mulling over everyone's suggestions and a conversation with the wisest woman I know, I landed on DO WHAT WORKS. I was down to my lowest weight in 8 years--176 at Xmas (I'm at 187 now)--and it was because I was eating within or close to my cals on MFP. I was planning and eating a lot of the same meals (yogurt with berries or almond milk oatmeal for breakfast, for example) and tracking.

Going to focus the most on the kitchen and do what I can, activity-wise. My feet have been really hurting, I have plantars fasciitis and bone spurs. I visited the podiatrist this week, he taped them up which felt pretty good. I'm buying some new shoes then going back next week.

I don't have pierced ears, so this one does not relate to me. LOL. I got them pierced in my early 20s under peer pressure (it was a birthday gift from a friend, which I still think is a weird gift for someone who didn't ask for it). I dutifully took care of them during the however many weeks you leave the studs in, then took them out and left them out. They healed right back up again. I don't wear any jewelry, actually, just my Fitbit. Until I bought my Garmin I didn't wear a watch for years either.

    Jealous about your nap, Sherry!

I've got a hair appointment after work for a cut and color, then I need to do 50 minutes of cardio (preferably running, but ultimately whatever my leg tolerates), so it will be late before I get home tonight. It's 11:13 am and I'm already tired, so that seems like a bad sign.

Sounds like a good plan April! Definitely track, track, track--don't try to cheat on yourself, it doesn't work. You have to track the good, the bad, and the ugly--because even if you don't, your body will keep "track" it anyway. And YES, if yogurt & berries is wrong, I don't want to be right! ;-) Hope your feet feel better. The right shoes are very important.

Laura, seriously, no jewelry at all? I accidentally left my jewelry at home the other day and I felt naked. But I may be the only person ever who runs & works out in the amount of bling that I wear. Fwiw, I don't wear makeup except holidays/special days, so like1x every 3-4mos or color my hair (except when I'm in the USA), so it's all about the bling for me (also, DH is in jewelry biz...so we'll just call it marketing, haha!)

I had a surreal nap and feel like a new person.

Lol, i wear earrings when i go out, like long ones for fun, wear posts to work. Havent worn makeup my whole life, used to get blond highlights but stopped that when we moved to mountains 10 years ago.

I do get my toes painted for fun with my daughter, feels nice to be pampered.

Okay, i need advice before i have panic attack...it hit me last night we are moving in a month and dont have a place! Realtor said escrow was going to move up from june 15 to the first. Since we are building small house need to rent for a year. But all rentals in area we are going most of them are no pets. We have two cats. The ones that do take pets are awful...

I am feeling like i am free falling with zero security. So i am on edge, and can't start packing. Feeling obessed right now with craigslist and rental sites. Sent a bunch of emails and didn't hear back from any...

I would love to rent a cabin on a lake for the summer but they all want a bunch of money.

Anyone got any ideas? We can stay anywhere in the west except the hot summer areas.

Marla, here's what I'd do. I'd find the place I love the most and then talk them into allowing "pets". They'd probably let you because, (a) you'd explain the exact situation, so they'd know it's only a year, (b) many landlords don't mean cats when they say "no pets", they usually mean big dogs (scratching floors or door facings) or puppies (having accidents on carpeting), and (c) push-comes-to-shove you offer a slightly higher deposit for having the cats. You'll never know unless you ask and most people have trouble saying "no" to a reasonable request from a mature, responsible person. But anyway, it WILL work out for the best if you just keep calm and stay in your happy place. :-) Good luck!

Thanks, great advice. Someone else told me to ask all places too. I felt better after Nia and spending night away from rentals..lol

I decided to take a few days off of looking to decompress.
