The thread starter is amazing! So true!!!
Marla I hope you can find somewhere to live. Moving is so stressful - both the big picture and the small details. My parents used to buy old houses, fix them up, and sell them. They almost always sold the houses before they had somewhere new lined up to live. We lived with my grandpa for a summer once, although he lived in the big old farm house that my mom grew up in so there was usually somebody living there at any given time. The longest I lived anywhere was 5 years until I bought my house - been here for 15 years.
I'm pretty low maintenance. My make-up routine is a coat of mascara and a dusting of tinted powder. I have highlights & lowlights put into my hair because naturally it's an ash brown that makes me look wiped out, so I put in color to warm it up a little. Otherwise I don't do a whole lot to it - in the winter I do blow dry it so it doesn't freeze when I go outside, but in the summer I can get away with walking out the door with a wet head. When I was younger I did the whole full make-up & hair routine, but as I've gotten older (and more active) I just don't want to take the time.
My run last night went poorly. I just don't think I can run on the treadmill anymore, at least until I'm totally recovered from whatever is going on. I walked for 5 minutes to warm up before starting to run. The first minute of running was pretty painful but I loosened up. There were several minutes where I felt like this was maybe actually going to be a good run, and then I started to cramp. Total time 16:48. I spent some time trying to stretch & foam roll but even that hurt. When I left I had to be on my tiptoe because it hurt too much to try to put my foot flat on the floor. My boss saw someone in town for a similar issue and really liked her, so I emailed her (she's traveling) to find out who she went to. Time for a second opinion, I think, and maybe some physical therapy.0 -

Laura, I really hope you find the answer for your leg problem. It sounds horrible and I know how despairing it can be to not be able to do what you have the will to do.
We had a gorgeous day out today so I did a nice standard run to the sea, for just over 6mi. Scale weight is teeny tiny inching downward, yay!
Have a good one!0 -
After two nia dance sessions, late yesterday afternoon and this morning, i feel healed from my obessiveness! Lol. Really nia is that great, the music is so soulful and the routine Beautiful is wonderful.
They do new stuff almost everytime you go so it forced me to concentrate on the steps and my mind totally got off move.
I read this great article about obsession last night that said the more you cling to something the least likely you will get it. You have to let go a bit. They did say it fills you with energy so a bit of obession if you can comtrol it is good.
Ok admit it ladies...i bet you are all a bit obsessed about running and go crazy if you take time off, lol....

Hello, hello! Day 2 is looking good so far. PLANNING for the win!
Marla, glad to hear that you feel calmer about your situation. Nia really is your therapy!
Laura, I'm really hoping that all the foot news is good. I know it's nerve wracking waiting for tests.
Sherry, I'm pretty low-maintenance too. This week I decided not to wear makeup and you know what? Nobody cared. As long as my eyebrows look good and I'm wearing earrings I think I can pull it off.
Working remotely for a half day tomorrow then off---and not a moment too soon. Nothing exciting, but nice to have off... Who are we kidding, I'd love to take a month off.0
