Question about Macros

I'm trying to do Atkins Induction. I got the drill up to "eat to satiety." Then I started reading about macros. Is that something I need to worry about? Or is it something for later on?

I did look up the macros and got a range: 83g-95g prot; 30g-126g fat; and of course <20g carbs. I try to reach these, but am having a hard time getting that much protein, and sometimes fat (until I discovered pork rinds). the recommended amount from MFP was; 95g prot; 126g fat.

Should I get protein powder? I can push the fat a bit without too much trouble. I love sour cream and onion dip with celery, for instance. But what about the protein.

My appetite has fallen off, so it's getting hard. Help!

I use protein powder a few times a week to up my protein. I find it hard to hit my protein macro without it. Did you use http://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/ to set your goals? I found it helpful.

Yes, I used that calculator. MFP gave me 5% carbs, 25% prot, 75% fat. Having a hard time since my appetite fell off. Today I had breakfast, skipped lunch, had a fried, breaded, chicken finger for supper, and was satisfied. But am now eating "simple meatballs" to make up some of prot % fat.

I roast a 4-6 lb chicken every weekend, and that's my protein boost for the week (eat a bit daily). Without the chicken I'd be stuck looking into the thick nauseating depths of a protein shake too.

I'd shoot for about 30g of protein per meal. Adding a bit of cheese to just about any other protein source seemed to get me there pretty easily. If you like celery, slap some almond butter on it.

I keep going over my protein! Tuna and egg mayonnaise for lunch and then any protein in the evening puts me over my 80g

I keep hard boiled/devilled eggs in the fridge as a protein snack.
They can give a protein/fat boost without adding too much volume in your stomach

Thanks. I feel kind of stupid, asking these questions, but I'm trying to get this right.

Saw my doctor yesterday. All blood tests (A1c, lipids, blood pressure) within normal range; lost 6 pounds since I saw him last (about 2 months). I was taking furosemide and a potassium pill that could choke a horse--no more! Drinking around a gallon of water a day, not counting my coffee, diet soda, tea, etc., has me running to the bathroom anyway, so . . . He was SO happy with me! Says he'll go along with what I'm doing, but he wants to see me next month. (He's into clinical trials of several kinds here with some group anyway)

Joined a gym yesterday also. Planet Fitness. Pray for me!

I switched to canned salmon instead of tuna for this reason. Tuna is too high in protein for my macro goals.
