Hi gang,
The past week has been just crazy. Sorry I've missed out on any of the doings on here, although it seems like only Cari and Nancy have been checking in. Must be spring fever everywhere. I'm guessing Diana is running all over Maine with her kiddos (school vacation week), Norah is... married??? Next weekend? This weekend? That's two marriages in our little group this year! And who knows what Zac is doing... somehow I imagine him pirouetting across a tennis court in a pirate outfit!
A week from tomorrow I head out on my trip. Cari, I feel your excitement! The first couple of days I'll spend with my new niece in Boston, then heading to Virginia for a week with 8 other women--really good mix of crazies--for swimming, "junking", a few days of living in the past (going to the Jamestown settlement and Colonial Williamsburg), maybe a day at Busch Gardens or Virginia Beach, and definitely some time just enjoying warmth and sunshine after such a long, cold winter. Then I get to spend the rest of May with my sister in Kentucky before heading home for a Princess Tea Party with my neighbor girls on the last Sunday in May!
This past week has been all about swimming many, many laps as I train for my swim race, and scrambling to get the house in order before I go.
My food has been okay--eating too many snacks and not watching my protein as I should. But I'm exercising like a fool, so no gains, but also no loss this week.
How are you all doing?

All those trips sound like a ton of fun! This last week has also been a bit crazy for me. I had a lot of school, work and church related things that came up that needed some attention, but it wasn't overwhelming so that was nice. I am a little sad that I will be missing tennis this Saturday, but I am taking my nieces to see a version of Peter Pan at the symphony (it is part of their series for kids). It should be a lot of fun. Like Karen, my week has been middling. Not great, but not a total disaster. Next week'll be better for sure.0

I'm here! I just got back from FL and have been trying to get laundry done and still entertain the kids on the last couple days of vacation. Today we painted pictures and made our bucket list for the summer. I actually LOST weight on vacation and I was thrilled with that! But, I also know I didn't eat as I should so my goal is to get back on track.
Gotta go fold another load of laundry. Oh the joy!
Hugs!

Hummm, busy week for me too. I attended a three day educational session. Have to say it was excellent...and worth it. Then took a long three day weekend off. I must do this again! I did OK on the food end of things. For the next two days I will be studying (need to sit for an exam in June for the course that I took...certification exam) and then I am also in the midst of packing...sorting through years of stuff so I can pack it up and leave here. Yeah!!
Karen....how are you doing on the timing for your laps??? Zac, have fun at Peter Pan! You have a very active community! Diana....sound like you are having fun with the kiddos! A summer 'bucket' list....hummm that sounds like a great idea!! Dee....hope all is well with you and new hubby!! Norah....best wishes on your new marriage. Cari.....hope you are staying positive....you got me started!!! And I see that Pat (our lurker :-)) is in the midst of get a brand new bike!! Yeah!!
Have super weekend folks!!

Swim time is pretty consistent, Nancy. I already move my arms at a good clip. I'm slow because I can't kick faster or kick off the wall in my turns because of what Still's has done to my knees, hips and SI joint.
My meeting with and swim for the race director is next Wednesday. Getting jazzed!
