Too much protein!

I'm on day 5 and things are going pretty well. I've been pretty careful. However, I've busted my protein goal about everyday. I know the solution is to eat more fat and less protein. But in practical terms I'm trying to figure out what to eat. I eat meat, cheese, eggs, avocado, etc. I was close to target last night, but I finished the night with a couple of hard boiled eggs. I wonder what I should have eaten instead. I had my wife buy some cream cheese since I've read of people using it. But I don't know what to do with it. Eat it with a spoon? Lol. I'm a bit of a klutz in the kitchen. My diary is open if anyone wants to take a peak. I kind of blew my calorie goal yesterday, but oh well. At least I kept my carbs low.

I have cream cheese in my egg. Really nice. I have it in my tea also. Also with chia seed.

There are few great recipes for dishes with cream cheese. I love it in my spinach, on my "faux" bagels, a lot of baked goods call for it as well, that is if you're interesting in baking any low carb things :)

    ETD:
I had the opposite issue, low on protein, but now i think i've balanced somewhat. You're welcome to look at my diaries and see what i eat, it's not perfect by any means, but maybe give you some ideas.
Seems you like your cheese.... and eggs. :)

    My macro goals right now:
    Calories 2,300
    Carbs 25g
    Fat 184g
    Protein 135g

I put cheddar on my eggs. Can I mix the cream cheese with that?

I eat cream cheese with a knife (spoons mess up the edges) sometimes I will stuff celery with it if I want a crunch.

Cream cheese is yuummyyy on an omlette. I had a 4 egg omlette with ham, salami, grated colby and cream cheese this morning.

I also use it as a sauce for meats. Mixed with some thai green curry paste it's delicious on chicken.

If you like eggs and cream cheese why not try making Cream cheese pancakes. You can leave out the sweetner and cinnamon and add bacon or cheese too!

Don, can I make a suggestion? Try adding some beef. Not a salami or such but a big slab of steak or similar. With the fat on. It gives you great protein but is also very filling. Much more so than cheeses or salamis. Chicken, pork and such are also great.

Protein you're eating is fine. The goal, for the first three weeks, should be 150+ g/day to avoid lean body mass losses. Don't stress about it. Excess protein isn't even a problem (not to the degree many make it out to be) after you adapt. But, it's especially not a problem during adaptation and restricting it below 150g should not be your goal.

That's good to know! I won't stress about it and just do the best I can.
