Okay... well maybe having an event is overkill, so I'll start a new thread for Weigh IN Sunday for the 17th week of 2015.

We might as well continue weighing in on Sunday and share our results. You can either list your actual weight, how much it changed (hopefully for the better), and/or percentage. It's up to you so do whatever makes you comfortable. Feel free to post any other real wins for the week like NSV or whatever.

I have a win to post! I'm posting a few pics.

This is me day after Xmas 2014. I'm on the left and those are my high school buddies who I hadn't seen in over 30 yrs. I was at around 280 lb, that was a big and tall 2XL shirt and 44 jeans that I've streched to a 46 probably and they were still tight!

This is part of my family on Xmas day 2014. I'm on the far right next to my Mother, man I was getting huge. My daughter is in the red top near center:

This is me yesterday evening trying on some new clothes, my daughter picked the shirt (Large) and 38 jeans that I fit into!

Wow! Great pics Rudy! What a huge difference. All that hard work is really paying off. I may wait another 10 lbs before I post any pics. I can feel the difference the first 10 has made, but I don't think it's real visible yet - lol! Didn't buying those new clothes make you feel great? Or is that just a 'girl' thing?

That's really a fabulous WIN Rudy! Congrats on your progress thus far. Oh I love getting smaller size clothes so hopefully it's not just a girlie thing! :D

I may join you and post some before/current photos if I can find some from my peak that's not just a head shot selfie type photo, but I won't have the difference you have. That's just really cool man!

Yawwwwn...Good Morning y'all. Thank you kindly for the props. Yes, it felt damn good. If that's girly, I'll take it!

So, jumped on the scale for my first "after the ranch" weigh in. I made sure to step on it 4 times with a reset of the scale to make sure it was right and had to just smile. 239 was the number I saw, one was 238.6 but 3 times it was 239 so that's the number I'm going with. So, that's 6 lbs down since last week!!!! Yup, handing in my 240# club card. Give me that 230# club card! #happydance

Wow Rudy - 6 lbs!! That's fabulous! This is supposed to be our 'rest' day, but that just makes me want to queue up a workout video and get to it ;)

Debbie - I feel you girl! That was me last week. I was up 1.2 with really not a clue as to why because I had been very 'well behaved' diet-wise the previous 2-3 weeks and I'd been doing my workouts. Not sure how much you have to lose, but a friend who dropped 45 lbs several years ago and has kept it off since told me that when you have less than 50 lbs to lose, we probably shouldn't weigh ourselves weekly. I guess that depends on whether you tend to let a small gain bother you enough to derail you. Personally, I can't resist knowing and while it can be frustrating - I know I won't quit. Hope springs eternal!

This week, I'm down 1.6 lbs. Keep in mind I was up 1.2 last week, so it's a net loss over the past two weeks of .4 so I didn't get to my 11 lbs in 11 weeks - grrrrrr! It's 10.4 lbs in 11 weeks though, so still heading in the right direction and I'll take it! I chuckled when Rudy mentioned weighing himself 4 times and taking the most frequently occurring number - that's what I do too. Actually, I weigh myself, then get off and 'weigh' just my leg (to get a different number because my scale will just return the same potentially wrong number over and over unless a significantly different weight is recorded first), then weigh myself again. I repeat that 3-4 times and take the weight that pops up most often.

Thank you Debbie...don't give up, you got this! Tomorrow is a new day and start of the week...own it!

I never thought of trying that Kristine. I step off and my scale throws a string of 0's then blanks out which I think means it resets. Maybe I'll try the leg thing. I did some research on scales and decided on last week ordering a new scale:

    tanita.com/en/hd-384/

It's supposed to be here tomorrow or the next day. It had a lot of feedback on Amazon for high accuracy. I'll compare the two to see the difference.

Whoa Rudy! That's a big time loss so congrats for that! Congrats to Kristine as well and Debbie, those gains happen. I've had 3 or 4 up weeks since we begain, but you gotta keep fighting. Maybe change things up a bit if things stall out.

I'm down 3.4 pounds this week, which is great, but I was up 2 pounds last week. It's a nice overall drop over 2 weeks and I'm down 17.4 over 11 weeks.

I changed scales soon after the BLBC started and at one time, I had 3 scales and of course, all of them gave different numbers. I really like the one I ended up with, mainly because it has bluetooth with a companion app on my phone, which in turn links up with MFP. But It also gives me the exact same number when I step on it mulitple times so hopefully you'll be happy with this new scale Rudy.

I've heard about the Tanita scales. Kind of expensive I think - you'll have to let us know if it's worth it! A little NSV to report - I had to go to a bridal shower tonight and I don't know if you know anything about bridal showers in Western PA, but there's almost never anything even resembling 'healthy' to eat at those things! So I made sure I had a filling grilled chicken salad before I went, and I was able to resist eating anything there that would derail me. You'd be surprised too, how much other people try to *insist* that you eat something! My own mother - 'C'mon, just try it - one little piece won't kill you!' But I didn't do it! :)

That's an awesome maneuver before that kind of party Kristine! Big surprise having mom making sure you eat something! :D

I also have a NSV... because of the "Inch Worm" move on my FitStar warm up routine, I can how touch my toes when I bend over from the waist! I still cannot do the sit and reach stretches where I can touch my toes but maybe one of these days, I can.

Oops, guess it was only a 5 lb loss. My memory failed me on bootcamp finish at 244. Oh well, still great at 5 lb loss.

Great Idea on the preemptive strike. Gratz on the NSV Kristine!

Awesome achievement Scott!! I can't reach my toes while sitting either. I think there is a nice blob of fat to lose before I can do that lol!

    Well, another WIN to post!!!

Got a call from the sleep doctor yesterday evening. She told me the results from the home study validate the in lab sleep study. That means I have lost no more sleep apnea!! She said I'm under 3 events per hour, so I don't even qualify for mild apnea...waaahhhooo!!!

Amazing just 7 months ago, I was at my heaviest and feeling the worst. Now, the sky's the limit!

    But, I'm not done....next stop, 25 BMI!!!

Small win to report - my Fitbit that I just got last Tuesday is really proving to have been a good buy. I have a couple of friends at work who've added me to their Fitbit group and we've had a lot of fun challenging each other this week. I'm sure that as a result, I've done far more moving than I would have otherwise. Tonight I got my first 'Urban Boot' badge for getting over 15,000 steps in a day! That's almost 7 miles :)

That's awesome about your Fitbit Kristine! When I first got my Up band, I went in with a couple friends and it got pretty competitive, even with how much sleep we got. We even resorted to sandbagging each other where we would say we are just sitting when in fact, we would be going on late night walks or workouts or whatever it took to get extra steps to be the step king for the day. I also took a few naps during that time to edge someone else in the sleep king race too.

Now I'm the last one standing in the Up world as they have moved on to Garmin, since their Up bands eventually died and they wanted something else. I may join them when my Up band warranty expires and it breaks. Hopefully you'll have better luck with your Fitbit lasting than my Up. I'm in the process of getting my 3rd band because my current one just stopped working for no real reason. Lucky for me it has a 2 year warranty and they are real good about replacing them.

WOOOOO HOOOO! Down 2 lbs this week ! :):):) That is a great result for me at the end of week 12 since my usual MO is losing less than a lb a week. I'm really happy with that. I hope you all are having a great Sunday - it's beautiful and sunny here in SW PA today, so I'm gonna try to keep this up by at least taking a nice long walk and doing Rudy's daily challenge.
