Boy, I'm late with this, but that's okay, I made it.

Didn't do so well this week. A really busy weekend put me over my 500 deficit, so here it is:

1. Cardio at least 6 days a week! - Check - 7 days!
2. Tai Chi twice! Check - 2x
3. Keep stress managed! Check - I did well this past week.
4. Log every day! Oops!
5. Keep about 500-calorie a day deficit based on Fitbit. Oops again!

Oh well, it's just once a year.

Hope you all did better!

Those busy days, Charlie.... Make the day go faster. ;)
Met all my goals including 300+ exercise minutes, 10000 steps per day, and got credit for 5 fitbit miles each day despite traveling and having company. Wrenched back the pounds of water weight from previous traveling days.
My weight is up this morning on my scale at home, wearing different robe, slippers and gown, after 2 travel days. Will stay OFF that scale till after official Sunday weigh in. Especially since I'll be on the road again beginning Saturday with SIL!

Good Morning Friends!! I lost another pound :p It puts me in "full push ahead" thinking when I score a loss! I'm still using JC BUT I am realizing (always have felt a bit guilty) that the $ I am spending on JC FOOD could have bought me a FIT BIT, new Sneakers, helped my daughter with her books for summer. Makes me feel bad you know. However, the past 3.5 weeks has really taught me portion control and calorie amts.

My goal this week is to stay with in my daily caloric intake and be sure and get 30 minutes/day of aerobic excercise besides wearing my tracker @ work.
I have chosen to stay with MFP, it has the best layout and I have the most support !!

Sharon you are the greatest !!!! <3 Wanda

Wanda, if it works, don't feel guilty. Remember that you would have to be buying food anyway, right? Besides, as much as I love my fitbit, it doesn't do anything to make us lose weight. Unless your current sneakers have fallen apart, old still work, and your daughter will find a way to get her books and will be more proud of your weight loss than the little extra help, I bet!

I never really signed up for an April challenge, but I'm going to chime in with my own 'accomplishment'. I'm still here and making the effort B) It's been weird for the last week or so - not much physical activity, eating some meals of more 'normal' foods than is typcal for me, but the scale is moving in the right direction. No, you won't see any losses posted because I'm still working on the same five pounds or so I gained (and lost, and gained and lost ad naseum). Hopefully I can keep the scale happy during a weekend with a lakehouse full of guests :*

    Keep on keeping on, y'all!

    Doing okay over here:
60 mins./ 5 days a week of Fitness classes or DVDs if weather is bad. DONE
Keep my average daily steps goal at 12000 DONE
Observe one rest day and still maintain the daily steps goal average. DONE
Go to Body Flex 2x a week, on non-consecutive days, to add strength. After tomorrow's class this will be done. I have already done two classes this week, but they were consecutive days :p . I <3 LOVE that class soooo much.

Congrats on to all of us on our hard work and success this month, including Ker :)

I am signed up for a Women's results class for 7 weeks starting in May, strength training in a small group plus a private session with the trainer. I also signed up for the Bike Challenge, so guess those will be my next challenge targets. I decided to tell the trainer I want the following result : to be able to load my hybrid bike onto the bike rack without assistance.

I've lost 6 lbs since January.
Not exactly stellar but at least I'm going the right direction.

One of my friends went on one of those "liquid protein shake" diets and lost 25 lbs in 3 months.
I find that depressing since she's all bragging about it and so far the only thing I have to show is flatter boobs. B
But I just can't do that stuff. If I feel food-deprived I'll lock myself in the pantry, break
open a bag of chips and eat it ALL with both hands. After that I'd start on the chocolate chips.

I can't help wondering what will happen when/ if she goes back on Real Food. BOOM?

    >:)o:)

I thought Oprah had taught everyone that liquid diets don't last? :D I do my own smoothies if I want a light breakfast, lunch or even a snack, but I could not live off of them.

And YEA!!! for 6 lbs. down. Better to be down than up,1.25 lbs per month.

Look at your diary to see what worked for you when you did go down. Try to duplicate those days. The only real loser in the weight loss game is the one who stops. It might take longer, but keep doing good days and the results will come.

You sweet, sweet people. You're spotting the trends that DO work and sharing the knowledge and your experiences. You're working hard. And you're learning how to eat and exercise for the rest of your lives so you don't have to go through trying to achieve a large weight loss again.
Big <3 right back at you, @wandakc !

YAY for everyone who's taking classes. I looked into them..there are a number of rec / senior centers in this area but every single one of them that has fitness classes is at least 10 miles away.
I know this sounds like a lame excuse, but I know darn well that I will NOT drive 10 miles to an exercise class..I make enough excuses to not go work out in the basement!

Cris, just go to the basement to workout. No classes necessary. Just do it for yourself. I go to classes but in bad weather, I just go to our workout space and do dvds, play around with the dumbells, do some yoga and recently added back in the wii exercises. It is all good, just move it, move it B)
