I only have about 10 pounds to lose and keep hearing that a 250-500 deficit and strength training is the answer. Have people found this to work for them? If so, what programme do you use?

the thing is, you need to find what works for YOU!

you need a plan that fits in to your routine and what equipment you have. plus you need to figure out how much effort you want to put in - what are you willing to sacrifice for a few pounds?

I am a cardio girl, works for me.
  • Strength training worked for me! I do HIIT cardio a few times a week and lift 3-4 times a week. It's worked so much better for me than only doing cardio. I have a personal trainer through my gym, so I can't suggest a specific program. Like TavistockToad said though, you have to find what works for you. I naturally have large muscles & was relatively strong when I started strength training, so it was a little easier for me to lose weight through strength training that it would be for someone with smaller muscles (that's what I've been told anyways).
