Motivational Thought of the Day

Since we have migrated to this site, it dawned upon me that perhaps we could post a motivational thought of the day. Anyone can do this whenever they see something that grabs them, etc. As good as a "Daily Dose" might be, we can also create our daily motivation. It can be done by simply posting a quote, etc. or even a graphic as a picture can represent a thousand words. Sometimes, a little humor helps so even a funny perspective might lighten the day.
I'll start it off:

The scale can only give you a numerical reflection of your relationship with gravity. That’s it. It cannot measure your value, character, beauty, talent, purpose, possibility, strength, or love.0

This deserved repeating. Add to it this:
Today is the first day of the rest of your life is a phrase often heard. It is the choices we make today that can make a difference. We cannot change the past but today provides us with multiple opportunities to make good choices! You can do it!!!

Good one!!! I'm a Star Trek fan so one of my favorites when encountering something off plan is "Resistance is not futile."

Soooo appropriate since yesterday was May the 4ce be with you! lol! I like this because even when you get up to do to "try" something new, you are still doing. Practice make perfect and doing is better than quitting. Love it!0 -
Remember that poem that goes something like "Success is failure, the silver tint of the cloud of doubt..." Basically, sometimes people give up too easily when in doubt and feeling they are failing. If they had stayed the course a little longer, they would have discovered success.
Don't give up! Stay the course!! You are worth it!!!0 -

One of my all-time favorites:
"It's not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena....who, at best, knows in the end the triumph of great achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly. So that his place will never be with those cold timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat." Theodore Roosevelt0 -
