BodyMedia...Does it work for us?

Hey guys, I have a fitbit right now and like it, but don't love it. I am considering switching to a BodyMedia armband, but am wondering about whether or not I can configure it for RNY calorie goals. I know that I don't eat as much as they would suggest given my exercise, but there is no way that I could consume tons of calories given I am only 6 months post-op.

Any of you have thoughts, successes, or failures with this device?

I have the fitbit, and really love it. I can't really recall, but I think I chose it over the BodyMedia because BodyMedia has a monthly charge, and I wasn't interested in yet another monthly fee. At least I think it was BodyMedia.

    I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.

I do have a body media and it does have a monthly charge. To be honest I have not used it since I had my WLS 3 mths ago. I will check it out more thoroughly tonight when I get home from work to see how far down you can adjust the goals to suit our needs. PM me if I forget.

I have the bodybugg and its 55 a year for the online part. I haven't used it in a year. (I lost it when I moved)

If you know you can't eat as much as it recommends anyways what's the point of having it?

So I just recharged and relinked my body media to MFP. We can reset our calorie goal as low as 1000 calories/day which I am fine with since that is what I have MFP set at now which is the high end of my daily intake. I set it to lose 2 lbs/wk so my daily burn needs to be 2000 calories/day which is for moderate exercise and 8000 steps per day. I am going to use it awhile again and see how it goes.
