Hi all - not sure if I'm supposed to do a introduction post but my name is Kristy and am looking for support in my journey of losing weight. My mother was heavy most of the adult part of her life and she ended up with Diabetes, high cholesteral and blood pressure, and congestive heart failure. She passed away in her 60's and I don't want to follow in her footsteps. I also want to be able to chase after and play with my 1 year old son w/o getting winded and take pictures with my kids w/o feeling disgusted with myself. I started my diet and exercising about a month ago but didn't have a scale until May 31st and my starting weight was 280#. I weighed again after a week and lost 3#. I have apx 130# to go to be in the healthy weight scale for my height.

Welcome to the group! I see you have a strong goal in mind very similar to the goals of your fellow weight loss members. The members of this group are wonderful supporters and we are happy you elected to join us.
