Weigh IN Sunday

You can either list your actual weight, how much it changed (hopefully for the better), and/or percentage. It's up to you so do whatever makes you comfortable. Feel free to post any other real wins for the week like NSV or whatever you feel like sharing.

First of all... Happy Mother's Day to the mothers. Hopefully you're having a great day!

As for my WINS... I'm up two weeks in a row. This time it's only 0.2 pounds so it's not too bad, considering I went out for Thai food last night for an early Mother's Day meal. I really don't have anys wins other than I'm acutally addressing my shoulder pain, which in the past, would probably just take some Advil and power thru and maybe use ice and heat (and not enough of it). Hopefully it will be all better in a couple weeks and I can finally turn in my 220# card!

Ugh - it's a rough week for me too Scott. I'm up .4 this week. Although, I went on a trip to Lancaster, PA this weekend with my sister, my daughter, and her friend who we consider a member of the family. We went to hit "the outlets" for some shopping. I didn't even try to log my food over the weekend! I still tried to be somewhat "good" for the majority of my choices, but there were definitely several things eaten that do not belong on a diet! And there were several shops we went through that offered samples - so there was a lot of "a small bite of this, and a small bite of that..." going on that I had no idea how I'd log. And oddly, I didn't get a ton of steps in either. I really thought I'd have no problem hitting 10k steps walking through the outlets in a day, but I only logged around 8k each day.

I'm not entirely sure the weekend had anything to do with it though. I weigh myself just about every day, and I've been up all week. I was actually up .6 last Monday after my 2 lb loss the previous day! What's odd about that is that I was on track with diet and exercise the previous weeks and kept on track through last Friday. In any case, while I had hoped my weight would go back down, I wasn't shocked to see a small gain.

I've decided to increase my calories a bit the next two weeks to see if it makes any difference. My workouts have been more intense and more frequent (usually at least 6 days a week now instead of 4-5 previously) and I've been hungry all the time lately - like within 30 minutes of eating - which is unusual for me. I noticed that the week before I lost the 2 lbs, I actually ate more like 1500 calories a day instead of 1300 (I was 'eating back' some of my exercise calories) and I lost. Last week (until Saturday) - I stuck at my 1300/day and didn't lose anything. I have 22 lbs to go, so I wish it was just "full steam ahead", but it seems I need to do some experimenting to figure out what's going on!

BTW - where's Rudy? Do we need to send out the National Guard in search? Come back Rudy - we miss you!

WTG Debbie for the almost pound drop!

Well Kristine, we gotta have fun every now and then right? Sounds like your trip would qualify as that! Yeah it's crazy how the scale fluctuates from day to day huh? I like you're plan of increasing calories a bit as it might stoke the metabolism a bit. It just may be like a fire and the hotter it is, the more fuel you can put in and the less there is that doesn't burn. Well, that's my theory at least.

I've been wondering about Rudy myself. I don't think he is going to the Middle East until later. Hopefully he's doing so well he's already turned in his 230# card!

I would have thought that he would let us know that he was going. I hope he is doing well also.
