Can't run ..want to run

I would love to run its brill for burning calories which I soooo need right now
I would love to achieve the 5k
But at the moment I get out of breath after less than a minute
Should I try get fitter before I start or should I start a c25k programme and lend a treadmill
I have four kids two are babies so gym not an option
Running scares me at the moment lol

Get out and push that buggy, 30 mins twice a day will set you up for c25k. Have fun0

I realised I was running much too fast, trying to keep up with a very athletic friend of mine who, at 6ft, has a stride length more than twice mine. My little dumpy legs were going nineteen-to-the-dozen just to keep up with his walk!
If you can manage to walk for 30 minutes, you can jog for 30 seconds. Yes, JOG, don't sprint
If it helps, when I did W1D2 I was overtaken by a little girl on a Barbie bike with stabilisers...0 -
