Dessert for Mom

I offered to make my mom dinner this weekend to celebrate her birthday. We were going to take her out to a restaurant but she didn't want to do that because she doesn't want us to spend money on her. -.- So I offered to cook without even thinking about it. Now I don't know what to make that's "birthday worthy". I could make steaks and salads or something like that. But what about a dessert? She's pre-diabetic like me, though she's not doing much to help herself in that area. Any suggestions for a tasty dessert that we could actually eat? Hopefully 10g carbs or less per serving?

There is something called avocado chocolate pudding. I would Google a recipe. I remember watching a video on YouTube where someone made it. Looked very easy. (But I have a houseful of avocado haters who won't even let me try it!)

None of us like avocado, either. Lol. I like the cheese/berries/nuts idea but I think she might appreciate cheesecake more. Maybe berries on the cheesecake. ;) thanks y'all.

I want to make one of these next time there's an occasion:
