What counts as a rest day?

Ok, so I know I'm not supposed to run two days in a row, but the thing is, I have dance classes on Tuesday and Wednesday, and martial arts classes on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. At the moment, I'm running on Monday and Friday, and squeezing in another run on one of the other days, which means I'm not actually resting any day. I'm beginning to wonder if it would be better to run in my lunch hour on the days that I'm already exercising so that I can completely rest on Mondays and Fridays?

Listen to your body. You will know if you are doing too much. I try to squeeze in a complete rest day at least once a week, but if the weather is good and I feel okay, that might not happen. Since you are only running about 30 minutes, running on the same day as some other activity shouldn't be an issue. You have to do what works for you.0
