Good morning ladies and gents!!!

Seems like we are all doing extremely well with recognizing the NSV and celebrations each day. Today I want to switch things up. Today I want to reinforce why we are all on this journey. What makes us get up and push forward each day with new resolve.

For me, I'm exhausted all the time. Back pain, knee pain. I'm tired of being tired and in pain. I'm tired of being the "fat" friend. I'm tired of hearing.."you have such a pretty face"... I'm tired of being a bystander in my own life. It feels like the last 10 years of my life just passed me by. I don't remember anything special from my 30's and want to make sure that I live each and every day as if it is my last. I don't want to have regrets. I want to live life for me. I want health and happiness. Regardless if I ever get to a normal BMI or skinny, I want to be healthy for me, Reggie and my family.

So what makes you get up each morning and put your feet on the floor and push forward???

I don't want to be told "you are in good shape for a big guy" or "you are more agile than I expected." I want be able to play a sport, play it well and have it not be something that surprises people. It would also be great to be able to go on 30 miles backpacking trips. At the moment I could do 10 or so, but I want that to change. I am also tired of the preconceived notions that come with this size. It is a pain having to get past the stigmas so they can see the real me. One day at a time we will get there.

Life is going swell, but the weather is not cooperating with my tennis playing. Last Saturday we had to cancel due to rain. Hopefully this week will be better weather wise.

What makes me push forward? I'm with you, Cari--less pain would be awesome.
I also want to fit in my kayak and sailboat again.
I want to weigh less than Jim for once.
I want to wear my grandmother's rings.
So many wants to keep me motivated!

Lately, what's really helping, is learning the difference between real and fake hunger, and learning that I won't die if I SKIP a meal or eat a much smaller portion.

    K.
