my tdee is 2105

i want to know if i eat 2105 calories 5 days a week and fast 500 calories 2 days a week will i lose? also does the type of food i eat on those non fasting days matter? like say if i have potatoes for breakfast, bread with my lunch, chips for snack and say rice for dinner with proteins... (for all meals) will i still lose or do i need to modify and how?

    If your TDEE is accurate, yes, you will lose weight. That's the program.

    Remember your TDEE is an estimate, your food logging is an estimate...... So try it for a few weeks and see how you go.

    For weight loss calories are king, any effect of different types of foods is either temporary or so miniscule as to be irrelevant. Remember just talking weight loss not nutrition.

    Your diet does sound heavy on starchy carbs but only you know if that's appropriate for your lifestyle and how they fit with the rest of your diet. Would say measure them carefully as they are calorie dense.
    Your overall diet has to be sustainable for you but you also have to think about nutrition for long term health.
