Hey guys! I'm Wanda. I'm 29 and 5'8". I started my journey with 60 lbs to lose. My heaviest, I was 215. I'm trying to reach my goal weight of 155 my high school weight. Here is my story.

All my life, I was always naturally very thin with a slight athletic build. I modeled. I was a size 1/3/5. Never more than that. I could eat whatever I wanted and wouldn't gain a pound. 5 years ago, I suddenly gained 40 lbs out of nowhere. After so many tests and scans, I was diagnosed with PCOS. Long story short, I actually believe I have Cushings due to my pituitary tumor and cyst. I'm just waiting on my benefits to kick in to get a second opinion. Either way, I've tried everything under the sun to lose weight.

A couple years ago, I had some success with diet pills, exercise and extreme dieting. I lost 33 lbs. Mostly due to the motivation of looking great at my upcoming wedding. That fell thru, but we still went on our all inclusive "honeymoon". That is where I gained all my weight back. I was about 187lbs steady.

Last year, enduring the last few months of a dying abusive relationship, I gained more weight. I was over 200lbs! I couldn't believe it! Suffering from depression, my weight crept up to my heaviest, 215lbs.

I couldn't do it anymore. I left him. I started working on myself. I quit smoking. I started actually doing trying again in school. I dropped the "friends" who only brought negativity in my life. I became best friends with my mom. I started doing more for the Earth. Yes. I am a true hippie. That's when I discovered the LCHF lifestyle.

I researched everything about Cushings/PCOS. I read about the insulin resistance and remembered how my Drs thought I was diabetic for so long. I decided to stop eating Frosted Flakes every night. (This is still a fresh pain for me) I stopped eating Mickey Ds bagels every morning before work. I stopped drinking soda. My weight dropped and loitered around 205. I stumbled upon the DietDoctor and his page on LCHF. It made so much sense! As a nursing major, I was too intrigued and really started paying attention to what I ate.

I've currently been using the keto-calculator.ankerl.com site for about 8 days now and I've lost 10 more pounds! I can start to feel the difference in my face already. My jawline is sharper. My jeans are starting to sag. My hoodies have more room in them. My yoga pants are starting to fall down as I walk. My breasts have unfortunately decided to diet with me. And they invited my butt along too. I'm not hungry. I'm happy. I have energy in the day. And I love Whole Foods and their compost bins. That is all.
