I recently reached my first goal- lose 20 pounds. I am contemplating my first reward. I am thinking spa day but that's a bit pricey.

I am curious, what fun things have you all done for yourselves.

A manicure is always nice, or a splurge on a really nice lotion, or go to a movie. When my next milestone hits I am buying myself a new book on my kindle. Maybe, in light of it being 20 pounds, you could replace a loose shirt or pair of jeans?

I would go to a favorite place and take a walk or find a bench to absorb the surrounding. I love zoos and waterfalls. But usually any park or river or body of water will do. And always have my Kindle close by.

I am a shopper, so I tend to buy myself something or go to the theater, movie or play or concert. When I got to goal, I went to Greece for 10 days.

I've found a few different ways to reward myself as I lose, but so far nothing beats being able to wrestle on the floor with my two grandsons.

Too true Bill, I run with my granddaughter, (about to be three). Never could have done that 80 pounds ago.

I don't know why, but I never thought about rewarding myself for dropping the weight. I'm usually just thrilled to see the scale go down, and then set my new mini goal. I think when I get down into the 100s I'll have to have a kick-*kitten* non-food reward waiting in the wing!

Absolutely! Something that keeps your head in the game. My next mini goal and I am thinking about a fitness watch.

My reward for my first goal is to get my hair cut. I have been wanting to get it done, so I told myself that would be a good choice!
It may not seem big to a lot of people but it is a treat for me

I think it's a great idea. It will give you a real lift.

My favorite reward is whatever makes me feel better about myself right then, whether it is a new pair of earrings or replacing an old, worn pair of shoes or letting my hairdresser talk me into a new hairstyle. Sometimes the only "reward" that works is going shopping for some clothes that will span a couple of sizes without looking sloppy.

I used to have a blue and white striped boatneck knit top that I loved. Unfortunately I stained it and ruined it. Cannot find one like it anywhere (trust me, I've been searching). The only one I like was worn recently by Kate, Duchess of Cambridge. However, it is about $76 plus £20 shipping to the US! I can't justify that price for just an everyday top, adorable though it may be. So I have promised myself that if I manage to hit my goal and then go down 5 more pounds I will get the top. It is backordered through September anyway, so I have plenty of time!

My "feel good" purchase yesterday was a gauzy cream swing tank with crochet trim like I had been searching for all spring. Found one for under $20 at Ross. It is always a great feeling to find that perfect top.

Where's the pic? I used to have one of those knit tops too. I was just too worn out. I saved it for several years, just so I could remember what I had hoped to replace. I think I took a pic and threw it out. With over 2500 pics of things I hope to remember, I bet I couldn't find it if I tried. Lol

Two out of three jeans that I can now fit into are dated. I guess they will become my gardening jeans. I have two more even smaller jeans, it will be fun just to see them fit me.

I read something like - Don't reward yourself with food, you are not a dog.

Hangs by my desk, is in my wallet and used it as my profile pic for a while. I reward the puppies a lot...I have learned not to reward myself (as much!)

Lately, I have been shopping for me, without (as much) guilt. Always shopped sales and clearance but have rewarded my decreasing sizes with new, fitted clothing. Actually purchased a nice pair of dress pants, but before I could get around to having them shortened, I needed to exchange them for a smaller size. I can shop in the regulars now! I still find myself wandering back to the Plus Size areas. Old habits die hard.
