One just opened in my town and we're going for lunch! I've never been before. What should I have? I want to stay around 500 cals and low carb. Thank you!

Sorry I am of zero help on this.
First time at a Shake Shack? I'd be calling "cheat day" all the way there and then enjoy all.the.things.0 -
does it sell burger and hot dogs? if so a burger or hotdog without bread with some cheese and bacon sounds good.0

Anything bacon/cheese/burger without fries or bun! Hot Dogs usually have added sugar or starch fillers so unless you can check avoid them. Enjoy!0

if you like mushrooms, get a shroom burger with cheese and bacon. You can use the portabello like a bun, kind of

The thought of a shake just doesn't sound appealing to me anymore. I agree to eat meat instead.
I used to make shakes out of high fat Greek yogourt, spinach, berries and vanilla protein powder, but no longer make them, since the sweet taste puts me off.
Sounds like you really want to do this, so you be the judge. If you really want it, you might try one sip of someone else's shake, then eat your meat.0 -
Ah I'm not going to bother with a shake - it's all about the meat! I will have a sip of my fiancé's shake if the mood takes me but sugary syrupy yuck isn't really my bag these days ;-)0

Well this made me laugh even if it shouldn't have. I had a bacon burger no bun- very delicious and 480 cals, no carbs, all good. I then looked up the nutritional info for what my fiancé ate, which looked like a pretty small meal to be honest.
Single burger with bun: 585 cals
Cheesy fries: 685
Shake: 640
160 carbs right there and nearly 1900 calories. Just like that. No wonder the world is getting fat. It was a pretty small meal!!!0 -
I'm so proud of you SlimBride !0

Great work resisting the temptation. Eating out is treacherous these days, isn't it?
I always said I know exactly how I got to the weight I got to: A Five Guys right next door to a Coldstone Creamery, which had half-priced shakes on Thursdays. A Shake Shack would have been even easier. Would have gained it all faster not burning calories walking out of one shop and into the other...0
