Slowing down my weight loss

I've been reading on the main forums (dangerous I know) and I've had a thought based on what I saw there.

I have 14-20lbs to go. I'm not sure how many to be honest - I want to drop one more dress size basically and then I'll be happy.

I'm set to losing 2lb a week and I'm wondering if I should just give myself an easier life by setting MFP to 1lb a week. I think I might be a lot more relaxed and happy.

Plus my wedding is in a year so I'm keen to get to goal and maintain, not yoyo for a year.

What do you all think? I also had a thought of doing 2lb a week rates during the week and resetting for 1lb a week rates at the weekend which is the part I struggle with.

Obviously I would carry on keeping my macros in check but it would give me an extra 300 calories to play with at the weekends. Or 600 over the 2 days.

What did you all set your rate at and how did it work out for you? Thanks

PS putting the calories up strikes me as a slippery slope. If I'm already letting myself slip at 8 weeks in am I setting myself up to fail gradually?

I would honestly redo your macros with the keto-calculator.ankerl.com and set your deficit very low, and watch your total g for each macronutrient, rather than do the calorie balancing act. The chart at the bottom will give you a projected weight loss, so you can see if it'll taper off about where you want to be for your next dress fitting.

    Hope that helps!

I count carbs, not calories. Other than worrying about stress eating with an approaching wedding, that close to goal, I would hope your body's natural hunger signals have resurfaced. It's worked out well for me.
