Help Needed with Vitamins

My name is Val. I had a RNY on April 21, 2015. That makes it 1 month and 1 week post op. I am doing great, but need some sage advice from all of you who know the tricks of themtrade. Last week I added 6 new vitamins to my multi-vitamin regiment. I also still take a few prescription meds. I immediately had difficulty consuming all I was suppose to take. I divided them up over the course of the day and try to take them a few at a time. However, I always feel full and they interrupt trying to empty my pouch before I eat. I take them with water and they do not sit well for quite a while. Please share any suggestions you may have about when to take your vitamins, what to take them with, any suggestions that could help in keeping up with vitamins and prescription drugs. Thanks!

Mine were mostly chewable, or capsule which I emptied or pills which I ground into jello or yogurt. Talk with your team, but early on water and protein were my first priorities - it gets easier to get more down with time. (Seven months post RNYGB)0

I take a chewable multivitamin for sleeve/bypass patients through Opurity.com. I had to stop taking my meds for the first couple of months (crushing them was awful!) and until I could tolerate more liquids. I find that taking mine with milk (and chocolate protein powder) really helps me. I am eight months out.0

Chewable is the way to go especially with rny. Costco and sams club have chewable gummie vitamins and calcium chews.0

Procarenow.com has a bariatric multi vitamin that is the size of a pinky nail and you only have to take ONE per day!!! My old multi I had to take three large capsules YUCK! My nutritionist gave me a sample and I came home and ordered a 90 day supply for $35! Worth a look0

Bariatric Advantage, online, has an almost all-in-one chewable multivitamin. All I had to add was Calcium Citrate and they have creamy flavored chews for them....comparable prices to others I have tried.0
