Turkey, venison and rabbit are good meat substitutes. Lean cuts of beef too.

It's not uncommon for us to do up a large turkey once a month and use it in sandwiches, soups, salads, main meals, etc... Same as you would chicken.

Chicken or turkey thighs cooked in olive oil, seasoned with Cavendar's Greek seasoning...served with a cucumber/red onion/tomato oil vinegar salad

    1 cucumber cut and halved
    2-3 Roma tomatoes diced
1 red onion slices and chopped up
    1 cup cold water
    1/2 cup olive oil
    1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
    Salt & pepper
    Red pepper flakes
A bit of sweetener like honey or stevia

Toss all in a bowl, let sit for an hour and consume.

Beef loin generously seasoned with Lawry's and lemon pepper, 2 tablespoons olive oil & 3 tablespoons butter placed in fry pan on med-high sear the loon on both sides.. Add 2-3 tablespoons butter sliced/diced on top of loin....place on roastin wrack in pan...scrap pan out and pour over loin.... bake at 450 until done. Half way through scoop up some of the sauce and pour over loin again.

Use sauce in bottom of pan as your dip.

Tomato, cucumber, green onion, feta salad. Cut up everything, toss in bowl, drizzle a few tablespoons olive oil, a few tablespoons red wine vinegar, add salt & pepper, toss and mix well. Eat.

There are tons of vegetarian meals that are low cal and don't have chicken. Use beans as your main source of protein and it will increase the nutrition of the meal. Here is a simple bean corn mix we make that can be used as a main meal or a side.

    1 can black beans
    1 onion chopped
1 frozen bag of corn or a drained can
    1 frozen bag of peas
    1 chopped red pepper
    1 bunch of cilantro chopped
    2-4 TBS cumin
    some lime juice

mix it all up in a bowl and if you want to eat right away you can microwave it to unfreeze the veggies. Or just put it in fridge and let it thaw gradually. It's awesome with siracha mayo on a wheat tortilla!! Or even with fried eggs like I had this morning.

Fish, scallops, shrimp are all high in in protein but low in calories. We try to incorporate some type of fresh seafood a few times a month. I season simply with salt, pepper and lemon juice, but there are tons of great recipe options....
We like a good shrimp stirfry or grilled fish over quinoa or rice.
