Strength training while on South beach diet!!

Hello pals, I need to know if it is okay to do Strength training while I'm following south beach. I'm afraid that low carb would affect my lifting. Currently I'm doing stronglifts 5x5 program and I'm still using low weights!!

    Absolutely!. First, South Beach (except for the perhaps the first phase) isn't or doesn't have to be low carb. Second, there's much evidence out there that weight lifting can be done successfully and with great results, regardless of a person's macro percentages. In fact, there are a few famous low carb lifters.

    I'm on phase 1 right now, but I'll continue lifting light weights until I get to phase 2. Thanks for helping :smile:
